Oh wow!!! I am not a fan of the dinosaur theme but I would like to get my hands on this set!!!
It collects all the big dinosaurs, with a variation of the Brachiosaurus, and does not include the Spinosaurus which I am not very creazy about!!!
Thanks for the info customiser!!!

I'm not a really big fan of the dinosaurs either. But this one looks pretty good.
Thanks Andi.

A different color Brachiosaurus, a different color T. Rex, and the baby Triceratops looks like it has darker spots than the previous ones. A must for every serious Dino theme collector. But wait, a German exclusive? Exclusive, meaning I'm excluded?
Living on the West Coast of the USA, a few hundred miles from the abundant dinosaur bone fields of Utah and Colorado, I'm deliberately denied the opportunity to buy this through Playmobil's "Germany First, everyone else a sad second thought" marketing policy? :'(
Can that be true? Can they really intend NOT to release this set in a market rich with budding Paleozoologists?
I hope when the Collector's Club is up and running fully it will help enable collectors to order these sorts of "exclusive" (ugh, the word makes me shudder) sets they might otherwise miss. I'd happily put in an order via the website and wait six months, as long as I could get this set without paying through the nose on eBay.

Nifty color scheme. I'm in agreement with Martin, not surprising since I am the same distance away from the source for the set. It is possible to do trades with German collectors for exclusive sets. I've done it a fair amount in the past. The exchange rate hasn't been favorable the last couple of years though. Hopefully there will be a raft of new US exclusive sets in the fall to make trades easier. I'm not holding my breath at this point about that; I like breathing.

That's what we all hope, Martin! And, that's why we're all working so hard to establish an official Playmobil Collectors Club!
Andi, thank you very much for posting this. This is the kind of information that members of the Pilot Group will hopefully be told and not have to get it after everyone else knows about it.

Hello, Tim ...
We're all hoping that the members of the Pilot Group will have this information as soon as it's released and also be able to order the "exclusives" ... (http://www.gardenwargamer.com/images/crossfingers.gif)

Hello, I live near the German border. I could get it for you. :)

Well, I do not think that this is a "marketing strategy" of playmobil to first serve the german market. It is a marketing strategy of "Idee & Spiel" (a consortium of middle sized toy stores) to have something special and exclusive to compete against giants like TRU and similiar.
So they sit together and discuss about how to make a fancy exclusive one without too much expenses... Cool, something with dinasaurs... ...Well, take only existing moulds, rerelease it with slightly new colors and... ...okay... ...invest in a few new tampons to get them a new pattern... They even recycled the box design...
And Playmobil is in contract with them to produce these items exclusively. So I am not sure if the club will make it easier to get these sets... ???
Well lets see... I like the set, even though I will not buy it as I have all the old dino sets... :)
best,

This is definitely a set that Junior would love, wish it was available here in the UK. :(

Hi
Now we must not forget that if everyone could get it it would not be so exclusive. It goes the same for the "limited edition" It would not be very collectible if it was everywhere.
I too want these exclusive sets but I guess I am not willing to pay 2 X the original price.

Thanks Amir, that makes a bit more sense. I didn't realise that Idee & Spiel was an independent store, as I never heard of it before.m I'd still like to get this set, but like Ras I'm not keen on paying 2x what it should cost if released here, including P&P.

If Plyamobil Hellas brings this set in the greek market in about a year and a half, its price will probably be anything between 50 and 100 euros!

Hi Friends,
i hope that all collectors can get some exclusive stuff more easy, too
Bothsides !
But the problem for german collectors is to get US Sets !
The big problem is the big shipping cost !!
To bring this Dino Set or the Mountain Set or the ADAC, outside germany (europe) cost 35 EUR !!
That is many money for one Set !!
I think this must be one of many many assignment of the Playmobil Club.
But lets wait the time brings the maturity !
world greets
