Great loot this week. A pirate set with lots of nice goodies: skeleton, parrot, treasure (inca statue), keys, glasses, etc.
Roman army tent with stuff. Got the little seat in the other day without its cover. This set contained a loose cover, so now I have a complete seat.
Another batch contained some animals: unicorn for my project, camels with saddles (my the are awkward), crocodile (i was toying with the idea to make Sobek, the Egyptian god with the crocs head. This croc is way too big), a surfer (cause I wanted to take Ali Baba with me on holiday) and a robot.
It´s all in good nick, accept the camels are a bit wobbly.
All in all a good haul this week. More on the way.

Great haul Ali Baba!! Lots of variety!! ;) Cannott wait to see your avatar on the surf board :D :D

Thanks Wolf. I forgot to upload the pic. Silly me.
Here it is:

Yes this crocodile's head is too big for a Sobek (or Sebek) figure... maybe you can try this crocodile! ...4465 - Zookeeper with Caiman (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=4465) ...Just a suggestion but I am pretty sure the head is more klicky body compatible!
-
That´s a great suggestion. I´ll keep that in mind. See what I can find on the net. Many thanks for the tip!

Why are your camels wobbly? ??? Are they the old style or the new style?
-
Great haul Ali Baba! What a coincidence, I just got a surfer yesterday too in a lot I got!
B-W

Bonniebeth, they are old style. The joints are a bit loose.
Maybe I´m doing something wrong, but the saddle are a bit losse also. And when I seat a klicky in, he doesnt sit snuggly on the saddly. So it is hard to make him sit straight.
Thanks Baden. That is a coincidence! I guess it is holiday season! :)

That surfer special sure is a good one! 8-)
Nice selection of characters - those Camels look great! :)

Yeah, one of my old camels has loose joints, but no problem; I have 4 others! I can't tell from the picture which saddle you have, but it could be one that is made to fit on a new style camel. I havent checked to see if the new saddles fit the old camels, but I would think not.

Great loot Ali Baba. And thanks a million for the tip of going to ToyZone in Haarlem found collector guide #3 (including the figure).
We have some old camels with broken legs, but we played with them ALOT!. New ones seem fine though.
-
Now that I think about it, my old camels are very loose too...and the saddles and the red thingies that go on top of them do not sit well on their back...they slip away...
But they are, as Gis said, played with a lot!!!! Whereas the newly 3997 - Three Wise Kings (http://www.playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=3997) camels are just fine...
-
Nice haul, Ali Baba!
The saddles don't stay on the old-style camels very well. The new ones in the Egyptian sets are MUCH better.

Your welcome, Gis!! I bought mine a year ago there. I gave one to my brother in law after he read mine at Sinterklaas. He immediately wanted one too. Then his brother wanted one too. And he never reads books. He doesn't even have internet!
Forgot the name of the store, but I could find it with my eyes closed. Must visit it again.

About the saddles, Wolf Knight and Bonnybeth, I'll post some pics later in another thread. Then we can compare. I wonder if someone has a good remedy for the wobblyness.

I've made a new thread in the how to section for wobbly camels.
