				Hello all,
Just a short introduction from our side. For me it started all with the first Playmobil set I got at my 5th birthday in 1975, the construction truck 3203.
More items followed and some of those are sill in possesion (most of them not " factory new 'anymore of course because I played a lot with Playmobil.
As read more in this forum, I also lost some focus at a certain age , when other things in life became more interesting..
Unfortunately some of my Playmobil items were given away to a nephew... I managed to find some of it again.
In 1997 I bought our first son a Playmobil camper (3945)  for his 4th birthday.
This action resulted in the fact that since then Playmobil has been a returning topic at birthdays and other celebration days for our four kids and myself.
We are following new releases. Kids are saving money in order to collect certain themes they like etc.
This all results in an attic more or less completely filled with Playmobil .. Mother sometimes going mad because of the space used  ;D
This probably sounds familiar I guess.
We still have the wish to transform a complete room into Playmobil space with possibility to expose and play with some themes in combination but space is lacking ... :-[
We hope this short introduction is showing a bit of our Playmobil "addiction"
Hope to get in touch with a lot of other Playmofriends worldwide to share to magic of the "Playmobil Smile" !!
Regards,
Family Nijsink , Nethelands

				Welcome Nomad!
Childhood Playmobil, given away and missed, returned (if possible) - the collection as an adult, with the excuse (in some cases) of children to buy for and play with. Lack of space to spread out and enjoy the world of Playmobil.
A familiar story to most of us!
cheers,  Martin

Welcome, Nomad, to you and your family!
I know what you mean about running out of storage space. I have exactly the same problem. Recently I have been re-evaluating my collection and deciding which themes I really want to keep and which ones I can bring myself to part with, in order to free up a bit of room in the overloaded cupboards and attic. 8}
Have fun with your klickies and please visit us often! :)

welcome from san francisco.  i love to hear stories of playmobil loved, left behind and found again.  i am one of those moms that did save most of my son's playmobil (c 1970s/80s) and have used adding to "my children's collection" as an excuse to add to my collection.
