Oh really love that fire boat!! Its from the mold of the old police boat!!!   Thanks Andi!!!
-
If they are new then they are a bit behind the times
Damo :)
-
Some of these sets really make very little sense.
The snow man with the Eskimo's?? The paddle without a Canu???
and yeah slightly behind the times!
-
Don't want to be rude, but I like our time playmobil more.
Thanks Andy for sharing with us.
B-W

these are from the eighties , why antex made them now , ??? ??? i think why is this company still producing playmo they don't have original playmobil there in 2010 ?? ,or these are cheaper so parent's buy them for the kids

with you :) the antex have a bad quality :'(
-
Interesting sets. Is that helicopter helping the Chinese with these barrels with chemicals, they had in one of their rivers? Or is this a reference to the Deep Water Horizon???
Terrible box art, I must say.
Thanks for posting these!
-
I like them!!! I miss the playmobil of my childhood!! I would get a few of these!!!
The playmospace space station I have is antex! And it is of good quality!
-
These photos all look faked.
-
Wow! Eskimos with the igloo! The originals sell for high prices on Ebay. I wonder how well the Antex sets will sell there.
-
These photos all look faked.
I am sure they just used a green screen background and then photoshopped in the backgrounds to go with the sets.
Maybe they are trying to corner the collector market?
-
These photos all look faked.
Faked as in trying to be something they are not? They are on the Antex site.
I think they are just a very crude photoshop-job.
-
Hi Friends,
hmm yes the quality its really ugly but i must say !!
Its not a FAKE !!
Antex Andina are the last of this world who produce Playmobil.
Before 2 Years Antex had a official License to produce.
Today i dont know if Antex have a License or produce illegal looks like Lyra
at the end of days.
Why this old stuff, i think Antex have old moulds from the License and cant produce
new one.
Only the print and colors are changed !!

Here's a link to their pretty basic website:
http://www.antexandina.com.ar/
click on the Playmobil logo along the top row.
There is a certain innocence in the figures etc which reminds me of the early days of Playmobil, and understandably as the sets are often reproductions from the early days just updated a bit. I especially like the van type fire engine and the firefighters in their red uniforms.
-
There's a bit of humour here in the camion mudanza, a removals truck, with the night time setting. Obviously someone doing a moonlight flit as they can't pay the rent!
-
Maybe they are trying to corner the collector market?
what do you mean??
-
Not sure about most of the sets (I’m pretty sure none of the molds are new), but the last set is NOT new. Even the picture is early ‘80’s (I had that set, it was the first large set I purchased, before I even knew what “Playmobil” was).
-
Hello
Thanks for the interesting news
As a collector of all themes I must say even with their lower quality I would buy these sets. It is very hard and expensive to get some of these in original Playmobil so any company who makes them now is welcomed news to me. The only problem is people on ebay exploit these facts and charge very high prices . I need some friends abroad.

what do you mean??
Well, as we have all seen, I'm sure, Playmobil's DS brings out an old set or two every year that is obviously intended just for collectors. As per the examples below from Playmobil.ca:

I was thinking that maybe that same market share is what Antex was going for.

agree 100% . I want a few of these igloos to make a village north of my vikings in my mediaval set up. !!!! Also this racing car looks so much like the legendary Porsche 917 I am convinced playmobil based that design on that iconic car ( see the Movie Le Mans with Steve McQueen )
Thanks for the useful links .. they do remind me of playmos in the 80s and early 90s....
Do these come to greece at all , Sir Wolf ,alex , angelo have you seen them ???
-
Um, I don't know what to think... They have reproduced a bunch of the old western buildings... :o :D Anyone have more info about this?
-
Hi Coyote,
the quality looks like lyra (greece) but the houses are ok ,but the figures are bad from the quality !
The houses have a little other colors looks like the original playmobil houses.
Have a look to the Antex Bank.

Awwww , i remember buying this old bank set in the 70s.... still have it and used to love the old safe box it was awesome and such a novelty back then !
-
Thanks Andi! Building looks good, do they come with furniture?
Also, the prices seem high on E-bay, anyone know how much they are in country?

Antex sets can be purchased through ebay shop theuniversalstore! I bought my playmospace station from them last year and the 3490 hospital team! They were expensive but the quality was excellent!!!
-
Have a look to the Antex Bank.
I'll post a few images of my lyra western bank!!! I think antex quality is better btw...the lyra plastic had a lot of...waves.. You'll understand on the second image, behind the bank sign!
And George, I hope you can see the safe!!! :D :D :D :D
-
The Western buildings would be awesome!!!
Even if they do not have furniture a person could update the interiors through newer stuff from DS.

oh i get your point now .the old sets that playmobil produces on ds are not exactly the same they have some differences if you see the red coach 's first weel with the originall you'll see the difference and the red truch the weels are different the weels were simple gray ,the antex i think they made them again because they don't have new moulds for new sets ,perhaps they make them for collectors too but i don'think so ....
-
And George, I hope you can see the safe!!! :D :D :D :D
Awww yes what a lovely novelty that piece was back in the late 70s, the western chairs , the bookcase and the mediaval funriture was pretty much everything in terms of such items back then and that safe was so so unique !!!

The Antex ebay store has much better and more, pictures than its website.
Here are the backs to the Saloon, Sheriff's Office and Horse Barn (formerly #3428 Horse Barn) so you can see the full contents of the sets:

antex is one of the companies that made playmobil under licence ,in greece there was the lyra company http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_FH22_Su_om4/S746D8lMooI/AAAAAAAAGrQ/gPp3e4qSagM/s1600/2005.jpg
in spain there was famobil http://www.playclicks.com/galeria/albums/userpics/normal_famobil.jpg
in egland was playpeople http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VINTAGE-PLAYMOBIL-PLAYPEOPLE-MARX-TOYS-1975-/180540579094?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_Toys_Creative_Educational_RL&hash=item2a090e9d16
in usa schaper http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Rare-1980-Schaper-PLAYMOBIL-Knight-Deluxe-Set-1302-Used-/360164800638?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item53db7eb87e
in argentina was antex http://www.californiaspanishbooks.com/imagesprods_big/0/playmobil_3571.jpg and some more other companies that made playmobil under licence ,for some reason i don't know. antex is still making playmobil today it's the only company from all the above that still makes playmobil today offcource the quality is very low , and it's not the same as originall playmobil !
-
sometime ago i posted a thread about antex - http://www.playmofriends.com/forum/index.php?topic=3212.0 - and my feelings haven´t changed.
it is that the quality could be better but the naive felling surrounding all sets is just great.
it's just as if playmobil from a paralell universe (quite different form the geobra new design trends) would come to visit us, a little old-fashioned but as "possible" as ours.
-
I wouldn't mind one of those Western Banks and a Western Barn.

HI
and I wouldn't mind 3 of each ;) It's just that people on auction sites try to get almost $70 each for them >:(

That's a little pricey, especially if the quality is inferior to regular Playmobil.
-
Hi
I really do not mind if the quality is a little less seeing as Playmobil's quality is so high (less than the highest is still good). I just do not want to pay some sort of super premium for them like they are rare. If this was made by Geobra the price would not even be that high, maybe $30-ish. I also just need them in my Western lay out and it will not have to go through the kid-stress-test.

what ?? 30$ it goes more than 100 ,or you mean if playmobil made them again the price would be this ? i think they take advantage of it on ebay ,i wonder if people buy them so expensive for that quality ??? ???
