Title: Sunday afternoon football
Post by: bogol on February 05, 2006, 17:32:38
Yesterday I was able to surprise my wife with the new football stadium which is on sale here since Friday. These sets are available in Germany at the moment:

4700 Stadium (2 goalies, 4 players)
4701 Shoot-out set (1 goal, 2 players)
4702 2 players
4703 Female teams (2 goalies, 2 players) [Seems to be a Vedes exclusive, I don't have it yet]
4717 Football supplementary (referee, linesmen, paramedics, TV-crew) [Another exclusive, at the moment it's available only at real markets]

The 4700 sold at real is a modified version too, although it doesn't have a different set number. The contents on the rear of the box show a "real" ad at the side fence which comes as a separate sticker.

All players come with a blank back (just the number 1 on the goalkeeper is in print) so you can use the number you prefer for your team. There are even little blank stickers to add names to the shirts.

Those sets look great, though I'm glad I'm not a football fan so there's no pressure on me to buy any. ;D

Ditto, Gordon ... ;)

Thanks for the photos, bogol! It's a beautiful set! Dare I ask the price (in Euros)?

All the best,
Richard

I'm not a footballfan either, but some how the 4717 sounds interesting....  :-[

The footballstadium is very big. Just like the new Roman circus. Are Playmobil going for gigantic sets from now on?

Hi Richard! Here's what I paid at "real" (in euros):

4700: 29.95
4701:   9.99
4702:   4.99
4717:   9.99

The 4717 price is quite amazing: 10 € for 7 klickies! 4703 should also be priced at 10 euros but I haven't been to a Vedes shop yet (unfortunately they are not so common).

Kvart, the stadium measures about 100 x 67 cm. The lawn is made of flexible material like the stuff geobra uses for making tents or carpets.

Hmmm ... Only 29.95 for the stadium, Bogol ...

Great pics, Markus! Thanks for giving us a review of these sets.  8-)

Assuming that you and Asuki played a match after everything was set up... whose side won? ;)

Err Sylvia... I think asuki will not read this... My team won 5:4 but she insisted that her last shot scored too although the ball didn't cross the line completely. WAAH! She saw me typing this! :-X Gotta run and hide!  ;) ;D

Oh my! Everyone knows you are not allowed to score while your opponent is eating chocolate!  :o ;D

Poor Markus...now you will have, not only your bride, but chocolate fans from around the world after you!  :P

I think we should all declare Asuki the clear winner!  :yup:

P.S. Am I the only on who thinks surprising your loved one with such a cool set is soooooo romantic?  :cloud9:  Perhaps we should declare Bogel to be the sweetest Playmo husband?! (Even if he does cheat at football. ;)

Hmm, it reminds me a little bit on a dad giving his son a train for christmas and playing all the time with it, with or without the son...  ::)
But at least Asuki appears to like playmo as well as soccer, so Bogol IS sweet...  ;)

I am so jealous about you all having already the set.
Not only that there is no real-store somewhere close to Luebeck, playmo seems to recall some of the sets, on their hp they changed the release date to end of march!  :o

best regards,
socrates
