Hello
Today I recieved a new fire engine from ebay. It cost me £15 plus P+P :)
I understand it is quite a rare one

Ok, the greys are a little of colour, and it is missing it's roof furniture but it still looks good

It came with lots of Klickies and accessories:

It is what my dodgy one I bought from ebay that time should would have looked:

However that one is currently under referbishment, to reveal something that so far has never been done to a Playmobil fire engine :shhhh:

Sorry, I hadn't made it clear - I used a pic of the custom one to show what it would have looked like originally (my nice new one in the first 3 pics)
I am currently refirbing that old customised one in the last pic into a very special fire engine 0)

That's a 3526 you've got there, Damo, and at a good price. Congratulations. The most difficult missing pieces to replace are the extending light mast and the lights to go on them (although the lighting mast from the 4820 will fit). The other main item was a yellow dinghy which is till available I think or available often on eBay.

Excellent purchase Damo!! I am really fond of these fire trucks!!!

It is real beauty Damo

Here are some photos which show the major missing parts and maybe a couple of small ones you haven't noticed are missing. Apart from those you just really need one of the long wooden ladders from the farm or castle.

Some more:

Not sure, but I think I may have a yellow dingy - whether it is the same or not I'll have to check. At the moment it is, with all my Playmobil at the village hall. The drawers of spares are being stored at the back of the stage but I'll try and get to it tomorrow and check if you want one Damo.

I may have the oars and motor, but they may be in at the removal firm until we move in September.

Wow, you have one too, Gordon :)
They are fine machines aren't they
I have that exact boat in the shed, with the motor and oars as well :!:
Thanks for these great photos, Gordon - it also explains the mystery of the wierd hose drum locker design - one of those knobs! I have spares of them too! <:>
the most annoying thing is that years ago I had spare the monitor and a floodlight, but I think I threw them away because I didn't recognise them as Playmobil :'( (they were the years before Playmofriends) ;)

Thanks for your kind offer Elaine, but I think I have it sorted :)

Er, had one. I gave it to my firefighter friend in Australia. They are, however, fine machines. People sometimes call them an airfield fire engine ro crash truck, but they aren't really. The cab is based on the round fronted Mercede trucks of the 1980s.

Oh :-\
I have always been interested as to how these style vehicles (fire engine, bin truck skip truck etc) were based around. I always thought they looked a bit made up :-\

Be careful of the hose reel turning knobs, Damo! There are different knobs but the ones you are needing are a one of a kind design & diameter & are not interchangeable with any others!

Thanks for this warning, Bill!
I will go and acess my knobs, and see if I can identify the correct one!
(although the chances of me having it , now!) ;D
