This is my whole playmo collection. It grew quite quickly... and then came to a halt because I'm now poor. I have more close-up photos if you want to see more. I create little stories and relationships in my head, and I like to look at them and make up new things and then buy new playmo and see how the dynamic changes. I like pairing things that only go together in my head (like the vikings and flamingos). I did recently buy a second shelf, but no new playmo to fill it up with just yet.
I have a full list of playmo I want that I keep in a small notebook. It comes in handy, especially when going on eBay I just go down the list until something comes up at a price I want to pay.
I'd like to hear your comments.
I'm sorry I don't participate in the forums more. I do read quite a bit, I just don't comment much. I'll try and comment more often, though.

Okay, I can't get the picture to come up correctly, and I don't know how to edit posts. I'll try one more time for the picture.

Okay, we'll see if that works.
If not, here's the link to the picture.

A wonderfully varied and well organised collection!
I'd love to see some closeups of the various groupings, they look fascinating.
-
Oh wow!!! Loads of specials!!!! Love specials!!! Nice collection and well organised!!!
Well done!!!

A small but wide collection with lots of themes represented. Almost Playmobil in miniature, as it were. As Martin says, close-up photos please.
-
Let's hope I get the pictures to work right this time (thanks Martin Milner for helping me out there)

The first set is a couple. Of course you all know the Magnificent Lady. Her lovely cohort is a kindly veterinarian. They're inspired by a real life couple I knew where one woman was very feminine in appearance and the other was fairly androgynous. They were really nice people.
The indian chief and tiny angel like to hang out and trade stories, and they watch over the other people.
-
Yay the picture worked!

In this set we have the Roman priest (who married the couple from the last picture) and his Zulu friend. They love to share their religious teachings with each other and learn about others in the world.
The camel is just hanging out. He ran away from the wisemen, and he may eat some of these roses.
The witch is my friend Sami. She loves pastries and is a bit eccentric, but she doesn't really know how to do magic (don't tell the neighbors that though). She has a cat named Ninja (but it's pronounced as if it were Swedish 'neenya', not like the word ninja).
The rose gardener and chef are twin brothers. The chef is a bit outlandish and wants to have his own cooking TV show. The gardener is quiet and enjoys the little things in life, and he has a great hat collection.

These native Americans were given to me by a friend. They're just hanging out until I figure something out about them.
The boy on the snail is my first and only 123. I think it's just really awkward. He was born with his arms attached to his sides and an overly large head. To console him, his father genetically engineered a giant snail for him to ride around on.

We have our Victorian family. The father of the family has a brother. They're not twins, but they're similar in age, though they can't agree on facial hair type.
In the middle we have a poor unfortunate boy who will die soon of some unknown and horrible crippling disease. To cheer him up, they brought him to see some of his most favorite animals, including a pink unicorn (because if I only get one unicorn, it has to be pink).

We have quite bit going on here!
In the center we have baby Jesus and Mary and Joseph. The baby is being blessed by a nun (She must be a time traveler!)
To visit the baby J, Two vikings came, and they brought with them exotic flamingos from their conquests. Also, a swordfish was there... because he wanted to be.
At the bottom, we have a sanitation worker doing his job, We have Wang-fo defending off a ninja who rode here on a magic flying manta ray.
Then there is a little girl about to get mauled by cats. This set terrified me when I saw the package; I had to get it. She actually has less to worry about from that mummy.
Guitar man! More on guitar man after these messages.

Here we have the 3 wise men and the holy ghost visiting baby J. They brought gold, frankincense, myrrh, and some other box of something. Hey, I'm just glad one of the wisemen is black.
On the bottom we have guitar man! He;s the coolest man he knows! Hanging out with him is the Maltese Grandmaster. Super mysterioso. Behind them are some animals. You know how they are; once you take them out the package, they just roam around not wanting to stay with the rest of the set.
Then we have a raver. People may think he's a dead pirate, but I've been to raves. I know what ravers look like.
Then some vultures eating a carcass like they do.
And then THE FAIRY! She was just too awesome to pass up. I think I saw her at a gay pride festival. And she made me laugh when I saw her. Come on! She has rainbows, multiple stars on her wand AND a star antenna on her head. How could you pass her up?
-
I seem to be missing a photo, so I'll have to retake it. But it's just Santa, a snowman, Cleopatra, some creepy rabbit-headed people, hedgehogs, a derelict, old merguy and wife... you know, the usual.
Also not pictured was the deep sea diver. He's a bit camera shy.
-
Thank you for the close up pics!!! The guitar player is very hard to find!!! Well done on all of them!!!

What a lovely varied collection, with background stories for everyone!
I have to admit my collection is similarly varied, as so many klickies are crying out for attention, and I find it hard to understand people who manage to confine themselves to one theme.
It would be nice to be display all my collection at once, but alas it's gotten far too big and only a fraction gets to see the light of day at any one time.
Thank you for showing us your beloved klickies in such detail. :yippee:
-
You have a great collection there, with a cross section of so many themes 8-)
I love my Specials shelf which I have recently created, and like myself, I am sure you enjoy spending just a minuite or two each day admiring all the characters

What more could one ask for? LOL

Very nice collection! Some very great specials in there. I saw two of my favourites: mandarin prince and ninja. What is the black thing behind the ninja? Looks like some sort of bat.
-
That's avery nice collection of yours! You have some great specials in there also! :)

Thanks everybody. Since I'm moving in a week, my playmo is all packed up, and I keep on looking at the wall where they were, and it's just so weird for them to not be there. I miss them already.
@ Ali Baba. The black thing is a manta ray. It came with the swordfish.
The specials are my favorite, and I look very hard for them all over the Internet.
-
Your collection looks like a really fun party--one I want to go to! nice work.
-
aha, mantyray. Now I see it.
I find hunting down specials great fun and very satisfying.

Thank you for sharing.
I really like the shelf itself, as well.

Lovely collection perfectly presented in this beautiful shelves display

Great collection Reimagination!! I loved how you had all those little stories as commentary to the pictures to make them come alive more!
Thanks you so much for sharing and good luck with the move!

Great collection and assorted pieces. I really enjoyed your play by play. Funny throughout. Even at the start when you were having difficulties posting pics! LOL! It could have been me!
Love your specials! You have so many that I want! How I'd love to have my Playmobil in one place. Once I acquired a lot it started to feel a bit overwhelming at times. (This doesn't stop me from wanting more which I think proves it's an addiction!)
I want to get a shelf for my specials too. :) Great idea.
-
What a great collection, and like everyone else, I really enjoyed the way you introduced us to each of them, telling their story.

I wasn't around here when this was first posted, so I'm really pleased that your collection has come to light again, so to speak, Reimagination.
What a great collection, and fabulous stories to go with them. We have stories like that for some of ours but, like many on here now, our collection has got out of hand and it's no longer possible to keep everything out on display (although I must crack on with the photographs when things are out)..
Do you have any updates - any new characters to share with us?
-
Great Specials and stories to go with them!! I love the idea of the ghost pirate as a raver!! Never would have thought that up, but it works.
Thanks for sharing. I need to go and look at my Specials a little more closely...
