The good king also has his knights....
So far I have 6 of the red lion knights. The fluer-de-lis knight is the champion of the city guard while the tower knight is the champion of the city's steward...

Very nice champions Sir Panos, really like the middle one the combo of the helmet of the very colourfull special 4555 ( i have 10 and dont like them veery much as they are ) and the standard kings knight, lovely combo the 3 colour feathers match perfectly !!! impressive !!!!! ;D

About the feathers, you will also find the same combination of feathers, but not the tunic, in this set: 5738 - Catapult Castle (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=5738)
I only have 1 4555 :(.... i like him a lot... although the big helmet is disproportional to the simple printed-on-klicky tunic...
Oh and don't forget, the first one is a regular knight...not a champion...I am still working on the combination for a champion of the red lion...

Impressive all togehter Sir Wolf, i think my Emperor has found a worthy adversary and we shall cross swords and armies next year . I look forward to see your complete armies and steck designs i bet they are going to be very impressive !!!!! Very interesting how you define ranks and classes etc , I might ask you for some ideas PAnos if thast ok as i have some difficulties getting it right ... ;D ;D

I still have not sit down to make progress on the steck castle... Had my hands full with reorganising the drawers, klickies, spare parts etc...But I will devote some time this week!!!

Hopefully I can, we are going to Europre
and I am using evil Phscological methods to make them all go to Greece.
Every now and then I comment how much fun it will be to go to Greece...
And by next summer they will all have it in their heads that we should go to Greece!

Having some thoughts on developing this project a bit further...
By now, I have just shown you what the regular knight of the lion will be, not the champion...I have decided on him but I am expecting for a couple more horse coats....
I will also redesign the basic fluer-de-lis knights and castle knights, as we already have champions for the two factions...I am also waiting extra horse coats for their horses...
So stay tuned for the developments!!!! :) :) :)

The good king's champion is actually a revised 5732 knight! And I'll explain in a close picture in a bit!
The lion knights are the main cavalry, along with the fluer-de-lis and castle knights that I will show you at a later post... Thes red/black lion coats for the horses are soooo hard to find! Last year Jumbo, a major toystore chain, brought loads of 3030s sets...this coat can only be found there and in 5725. I bought four 3030s just for the coats, knights, and steck of course but could not get any more...by christmas time they were all gone... I got the other two coats off ebay after a hard bidding contest...and waiting for one more sometime next week. I do plan, if DS accepts the order, to get a 100 of them... horses, coats, knights!
I've changed the arms of the 5732 knight, his blonde hair with gold chainmail, his grey helmet with a gold one, and added a beard to make him look more serious. Thus making the Champion of my good king!!!

I can see them Know Sir Panos!! Actually these are my favourite knights due to their colour and I reckon looking at teh tournament tent in which their insiginia is the largest when compared to the other 4 there , this is the insignia of the king and it is in fact the insiginia of my king in my mediaval set up. I think i have 15 or 18 of them not sure actually as i have long agao lost the plot as to what i have , recenty purchased etc etc ... Yes that i true Giorginetto, this coat of arms was designed by Playmobil to stand for the King...k3659a - King (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=k3659a)
However I need a different king...One that is not so royal and he is more like a warrior/fighter king...someone that his posture shows thay he has been through many battles...And he bears the coat of arms of the lion knights. I'll post the good king and his staff/advisors on a new thread later tonight!
In my story, this lreur-de-lis coat of arms represents the importance (crown) of the city (fleur-de-lis) for the king and his people. The city is like a crown, a homeland...therefore it must be protected at all times....especially agains the forces of the Malevolent Duke!!!!

Tower Knights!! You've seen the stewart's champion before, and now here are the rest of the knights of the faction!
As men of the stewart, these knights, as well as the infantry attached to the stewart, is more like a police force. They take care of disputes inside the city and assure internal peace! More of these horse coats are on the way, so I'll probably have 10 of these knights as well!

Once again your customing work is a pleasure to behold Sir Wolf. Some great ideas again although you seem to have the same problem as me:
Normal green, split skirt legs.
That is really something that is missing from what is on the market. Only green ones avail are the light green Dragon Knight ones which would *cough* not be an improvement. But normal green ones would really make them perfect IMHO. Hmmm maybe I need to buy some paint and expiriment a bit...who am I kidding...so much to do so little time.

I will agree with you norman green, split skirt legs (or whatever they call them) would be much better for these knights!!!! I would try to paint a few, but as it turned out last year when I did paint a lot of klickies and items for a project, I did not like the result. Immidiately afterwards playmobil produced klickies with the colour that I needed so I replaced the whole series...
So, here's hoping that playmobil will produce such legs... ;)

Thank you Damo!!! I do like uniformity in the ranks, although I struggled with the idea of individuality for each klicky to show different character (like AndrewL has so greatly achieved with his customs) a lot, but it would just not work for me!!!
