Strangely, they've given him nowhere to put his quiver of crossbow bolts!

Interseting set, Andi

How is he holding his crossbow on the front pic - surely that isn't possible :-\

Doesn´t it go on the horse? Like with the mongolian easter egg rider?

By the way, I want one! I´ll be in Germany later this year. Hmmmmm.

i think you just choose and change from sword to quiver on th belt clip...as for how is he holding his crossbow...maybe we have another prototype here...because the crossbow on the front does not look, to me at least, the same as the one in the back...

Yes, on the front pic it seems to be photo shopped on. The crossbow can´t be held like that!

On close inspection, I think the crossbow is upside down - I haven't got a Klicky with armour and crossbow at hand to check, but it is possible that it could be.

On the back image, the Klicky has one flesh coloured hand, and one a dark grey colour ???

About his hand, it is supposed to be like that. He had an iron prostetic hand.

The link provided above is for the Goethe play. Here is the link for the historical figure.

Quite a character:

I hadn't spotted the iron hand, that does make it an interesting one-off set, though it would be easy to create this figure from your own parts.

Ow, I think it will be exclusive to Germany only.

I think I am going to Germany later this year. Hmmm

I bet Nuremburg guards are no match for good old ironfist Goetz. Five Goetzes should be enough to keep them out of my modest steck castle.

is there one on ebay , , its a nice one- off klicky and  i want at least one !!!!!!! No shield though so Ali baba i dont really think he has a lot of chances against an E-L-I-T-E  nuremberg guard ....

The sword in this exclusive set?

No, it's a very old style not used much anymore. It's the shape the original 1974 knights' swords were, but they had a chrome finish.

This looks like a very interesting based on a very interesting man.

I've never seen that feather in white before.  Is the crossbow a new design?

I think this sword appeared for the first time in 3291 set in 1977, previous to that the sword was shorter , still chrome and with rounded edges above the handle... :)

Hi Justindo,

I think the white feather is new, as is the printing on his banner. I'd love to get my hands on one of these sets if only for those two parts.

So far as I can tell, the crossbow is the standard one. But people in previous posts in this thread have discussed whether the box front photo has the crossbow photoshopped into place -- I think the consensus is that it probably was.

Cheers,

AndrewL

As many people are interested I decided to contact the museum shop and this is there reply:

-----
Dear Mr. Hoogendijk,

thank you for your E-Mail.

Of course we can send the Playmobil Figure to you. One unit costs 4,90 Euro.
The shipping costs for the Netherlands depends on the quantity you want. For
1 to 10 units the shipping costs are 15 Euros. For more than 10 boxes the
shipping costs are 20 Euros.
The Shipping costs for Germany (1 to 10 boxes) are 5 Euro.

For the payment: There are 2 possibilities - either you pay by credit card
(Master or Visacard) or you do a bank transfer. After receiving the money we
send the package to you.

Please let me know how many Playmobil Figures you want and your address as
well.

Kind Regards,
Tina Lutzki
-----

So I thought how about Everyone tell me how many they want @ 5,50 EUR + shipping (from me to you) -> I make one large order with them and send everything out when I get the money transferred from you.

(Or maybe someone in Germany is willing to do this and that way lower the shipping cost)

Let me know if you are interested!!

PS If what I am doing here is against the rules I am very sorry and please remove this post!

Sorry not on ebay and can't receive paypal payments :-(

Maybe someone else who can do that is willing to do it?

Then again according to me it should be easu to transfer money within the SEPA region (of which both the Netherlands and Greece are part) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Single_Euro_Payments_Area (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Single_Euro_Payments_Area)) without any more costs then it would transfering money within the country.
