Here is a sneak preview of some referee figures which will eventually be part of the series of Football player sets.
The accessories look pretty cool. The thing on the ground is a whistle, btw. 8-)

I don't think these have been shown on any of the other Playmobil forums yet.

Nice detail touch, typical Playmobil.
-
Thanks for the pic! I would probably collect the football theme if all the figures had normal legs like the refs. I playmo-whistle.. that is cool!
-
Yes, the details are very cool - I like the whistle, and the watch as well! That is what I most like about Playmobil - it is very definitely a toy, but the details are anything but childish...
In the upcoming 2006 children's clinic set, for example, the scale and height chart and the bottle warmers are incredible little details that make this "toy" very realistic!

I agree! And the card! 8-)

I was surprised but mydaughter is very pleased with the female soccer players
I may have to indulge her so she wopnt get so snitty as I indulge my PM passions.
We both love the new micro sets, and fairy tale sets

OK, so how did you do it, Sylvia?
BTW ... Well done! From someone we know? ... ;)
Looking at the "card" in the ref's hand brings back memories of our daughter's soccer games.
Yes, I got "carded" a few times ... (http://www.gardenwargamer.com/images/grins.gif)
All the best,
Richard

Not in this quality but look here (http://www.playmo-portal.com/viewtopic.php?t=7787).

Ah... someone at the portal must have discovered it around the same time. :P
Thanks for the link, Jochen. :)
I already had the refs picture last night but thought I would wait until today to post it because I was busy with other stuff.
Looks like there's a couple of stretcher bearers in the set too. 8-)
But what are the guys in blue at the front doing? TV Reporting, perhaps? ???

Yes, that's what the readers on the German board assumed respectively are taking for sure.

No, YOU Richard? I just can't picture that ;) :P ;D

Can you believe it? ... (http://www.gardenwargamer.com/images/grins.gif)

well Richard, perhaps you have let out too much information about youself
Zina played soccer from k - 6th.
There wwas one very vocal parent on one team and we were kind of happy when his child went to another team.
I have to say that I have never seen a parent get carded.

Uh ... Oh! ... :-[

I guess "our cards" here at PF are "wet noodles," so I had better be careful ... 0)
I have to say that I have never seen a parent get carded.
Hmmm ... I got "carded" almost every game ... >:D
On the other hand, our daughter's team won the League Championship three years in a row! (Despite some very "interesting" calls by some very well-meaning refs!)... (http://www.gardenwargamer.com/images/grins.gif)
All the best, Meg,
Richard

I am glad that your daughter had such success with soccer.
Zina decided to drop out after she had to "run too much" :hmm:
We were sad when this happened.

Our elder daughter had a great coach. He was a former professional football player (Houston Oilers) and really seemed to get the best out of every kid. Ours included ... ;)
Now that our family's "star" soccer player is quite a bit older, I'm wondering if the Playmobil soccer players and referees would be of interest to her? Maybe I'll surprise her with a small set to see ... :)
-
And here's the referee at work, starting the game! :)

Yesterday I bought 4700 (stadium), 4701 (shoot-out), 4702 (2 players) and 4717 (referee, linesmen, paramedics, TV-crew). The bodies of the paramedics are left-overs from the 3192 hovercraft and still wear the "Ex-Di" print.
-
The ref's legs are a new moulding with the socks and boots apparently part of the moulding rather than printed on.
-
Yes, that is right. The referee is also a normal klicky which can bend its legs and sit. The goalkeeper is completely stiff and the players have one stiff and one movable leg (maybe 30° on each side).
-
very nice set - I want the wrist watch! :o :D
thanks for the pics and links 8-)

Don't feel bad Meg, Chelsea spent all her time looking for dandelions in the grass. (Besides, the parents sort of scared me. :o )
Luis, wouldn't the watch be great for a spy? 8-)
Bogel, congrats on getting these sets! They look fun. :)

indeed!
and also for my avatar :-[ ;D
