3750 - Pirate Ship (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=3750) My first ever playmobil ship!!! :love: :love: :love: had so many hours of play!!! lovely memories!!! As I had no ship for the soldiers I used a charton box for one...and made naval battles!!!
3286 - Pirate Flagship (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=3286) The most impressive ship playmobil ever made!!!
and 4290 - Large Pirate Ship (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=4290) I am not very fond of this last one but I got two of these for the price of one because of their badly damaged boxes!!!
I have more ship of course!! three more 3750, one of them boxed, the rest restored or awaiting to be restored.... One more viking longboat still in its box, three 3860 - Black Corsair (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=3860) one still boxed and one awaiting extensive restoration.. a 5778 - Pirate Skull Ship (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=5778) also awaiting extensive restoration, a 4444 - Cannon Boat (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=4444) and finally a 5869 - Red Corsair (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=5869)...
-
In the same room a fully extended 3269 - Rock Castle (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=3269)

Mind you, all the ships on display, apart from the red pirate ship, are the original ones!

The Golden Dragon's Knights called like that because they belong the golden dragons. And the dragons do not care about stek obstacles (dictionary must have failed here). The truth is that i could never harm your playmo room (especially those beautifull drawers for spare parts) I want them so bad as those caddies jars in a caddie store was i was Kid.

Hmmm I must put more magic on my steck walls to withstand your attacks (need more wizards for that...)!!!! ;)

Not only is this collection impressive but I especially like the fact that you patiently and lovingly "restore" your ships to their original glory :love:
That is commendable ;)

Thank you for your knd words Karim!!! Restorating these ships, although I really need more time to do so, is so much fun for me!!! a great challenge, everytime i get even the smallest part, or placing it on the ship, its a feeling of great joy!!

such a magnificent fleet, and a very nice display. it is nice to see them side by side, that pirate flagship is definitely impressive, and i suspect it would be daunting to see it through a spy glass, on the horizon. kaethe

You know Panos and Sir George, you had right about the old stek battlements. There are not so good as the new ones.May be in the future i will spend some money to replace them with new ones. There is some emotional bond with those old castles. They remind me my childhood. So far i have managed to owned 3 of them.

Angelo if you try to reconstruct a 3450 I would suggest that you keep the original battlements! I am in the (long and slow) process if recreating one such castle (mostly 1- because I never manage to get one as a child, 2-my cousin never managed to find his own and give it to me as I asked him to 3-i cannot find a complete one,) and I intend to keep it original!
-
I bought a 3450 in 1981 or 1982 not sure, I rememebr the day i bought it very well and have pictures setting it. Its now part of my steck collection and i have lost track of the old steck pieces. It was such a novelty to have back then , my playmobil castel was my pride and i remember when i got ( for free) from a friend lots of steck pieces and expanding it i was so happy and excited i rememebr that day also. And what a great sight it was with nuremberg knights !!!! However, the 1994 battlements i prefer they look more realistic and rigid and powerfull . The 3450 is my love but 3666 is the best... :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:
I have quite a few old style battlements must be over 50 for sure , only about 3-4 of them dont clip and i am certain they were recent purchases when i was buying chuncks of steck. with a bit of filler though they are 100% again. The old style battlements have a more arcitectural design , for monasteries, town houses etc etc I reckon ... Awww i want to buy some more steck now !!!! 8} 8} 8} 8}

right now i have ordered everything i need to make the 2 3450 as the original one.3446 is complete as i can tell and in the 3445 i have doudts about the bell system.I have gave a look again at he auction photos i can see a rope hanging in the 3445 tower.but i'm going to be crazy because the packet that hold the 3446,3445,3450 castle is on move from Germany the last seven day.i think dhl uses donkey to transfer goods. And i had to be patience because there is also the participation of greek post office. Please God be merciful.the other 3450 castle has also the nuremburg guards in almost comlete state. and finally i have found another one almost complete minor part are missing with an incompleted 3667 together.
this summer with my steckness and my nearly born son it will be my financial end!!!!!! Playmobil begar collector with 2 sons and wife.I shall selling playmo part at the traffic lights.
