I mostly collect klickies and have been displaying all of them out in my BILLY bookcase bought from IKEA (Which is of pooooor quality) and now have reached the threshold and I am facing the dilemma of taking some of them away from the case. But I really love them all and apartments in Hong Kong are really not spacious enough for another displaying area. Luckily it is still in the first half of 2010 (technically), and there is no new release yet. But time flies and in no more than several weeks I will get something from the seller. :-\ And let alone the new specials and new figures. Arrrgghhh......I feel bad to put the modern families, kids and adults in the box :'(

I feel your pain but I think you need to approach it a bit like Toy Story.
Eventhough your klickies will be put in a box, their brothers might have been sold to a destructive kid or an older kid who tossed them in a box and never looked at them again. Yours at least had some time on display next to their friends. As long as you take them out once in a while, maybe have a rotating "themed" shelf, I know they will not fault you for being put away for extended periods.

I was having my eyes half closed to avoid spoiler from you, luckily there is not one. I am still waiting for the Toystory 3......not opened in Hong Kong yet. Heard even guys drop tears for the ending :'(
Setting them up takes a lot of time, let me show you guys my cllection later :wave:

Can't wait to see your collection. But isn't it fun to play around with them, for me it's worth every minute :-)

It is sad when you have to put some klickies away...I gather the ones I do not want displayed any more, place then in a small plastic zip bag and put them all together in a comfortable big box!
I am not sorry for them because they had their time and they will have good company in the box, as Gis points out, bvut most importantly, I do not miss them as I usually have three or four of each!!!! ;D ;D ;D

This is the main display. My collection is very small, just pale in comparison to you guys'. Hope you all like it.

Any playmobil collection is unique and there are many things to OOO and AAA over in yours.
I love the way you displayed the Astronaut and the way the divers are hangings from the sealing is really clever.
If you really want to give your klickies the spotlight maybe it's time for the Yellow House to be moved into storage for a little while.

Thanks, but I own that yellow house since I was 3, so it means a lot to me. Luckily I didnt throw it away during my playmobil dark period that last more than 20 years. That is a diver, not astronaut. I am still trying to trade with someone on the forum for one special astronaut. This is an advertisment. 8-)

I understand, it's just that when you can't have it all you need to prioritize. And very few people can have it all ;)

Luckily my PM dark period lasted only about 6 years or so. I am a packrat by nature so all my toys are still around somewhere :-)

I miss them all the time. All my collection of over 2500 of them ( i think.... not so sure ) are in a store room about 80km from where i am .. awwwww unbrearable !@!!!! :( :(

Any collection size is great when it comes to Playmobil! It is evidence that you took the time to investigate & acquire them, so we admire your excellent choices :wow:! My entire collection is approximately 30' away, & I am currently trying to find ways to display it again to our new location :-\!

Your collection is great and so varied. 8} There is so much to enjoy looking at. I can understand your reluctance to put any of them away.
Since we are redoing the family room, most of my collection is in plastic bins in the storage room. I got one box of them down yesterday and had an enjoyable afternoon fooling around with them, such a guilty pleasure. >:D

I have always been thinking about getting a castle, but price is steep in Hong Kong. And I am convinced I should not get one due to lack of space.....for now at least >:D

I'm looking forward to setting up all my Playmo and klickies at our village hall in a few weeks - I'm frantically sorting it all out at the moment to see what is missing and to try to match hair/hats/accessories to the right klicky. It's great fun ;D I keep finding things I'd forgotten about :lol:

A nice collection Heronimus!
I don't have a huge lot myself and love looking at what everyone else has. I like bits from all sorts of collections (particularly things I would have loved as a child). I only discovered Playmobil very late in life. Sheesh...I didn't even have any Lego as a kid!
I do have a lot of stuff packed away as storage is an issue. I would kill for one of the "playmodens" seen pictured.

Just give it time, some of us , like me , have been buying playmobil since the late 70s (!!!) so its pretty normal for number to add up , however i blame the steck and klicky fever for this and the lovely ebay which has opened all possibilities to buy playmobil !!!!
