Well, here's the problem...
There is this awsome Steck lot on Ebay with several Klickies...
There is a 3666, a Barons Tower, a Siege Tower,
And over 40 Klickies (not all of which i particularily like, but several I do).
But here's the bad part.
I can buy this for $40 if i'm lucky...
Or I can buy 10 of these guys:

I really was looking forward to the Roamns as I was hoping to create an Urban Cohort,
And they would finish my Early Republic Roman Army. (Triarii. ;) )
But I can't have both, unless Canada Continues to produce them next year.
(Maybe I could get them for a Christmas present... :hmm: )
OHHHH I CANT DECIDE!!! HELP ME! :'(

I'd say go for the romans!!! only beause I would like to see and win the steck collection ;D ;D ;D ;D
But seriously, its lucky enough that this special was intruduced again...its a good opportunity to get them...you can always find huge steck collections...but single klickies...no so often...

In my opinion, unless you already have a lot of Steck and are unwaveringly committed to it, I wouldn't go down that path. Although I have seen several Steck sets in local toy stores and it does appear on ebay frequently, prices are continually rising and it will, by definition, become increasingly scarce and thus expensive. I made the decision to invest in System X. Yes, it has its drawbacks, but so does Steck. I just don't see Steck reappearing but I think System X will be around for some time.

Personally I would be hard pressed to not bid on the Steck lot but then I am not doing much army building yet and I just love constructing with Steck.
If you go for the romans though make sure to post a link of the Steck lot so you know it will be in good hands *grin*

I'd get the Steck. That Roman figure has been reproduced in blister pack 5827 so there's plenty of them around. If the blister itself isn't released locally to you it'll still turn up elsewhere. The figure itself isn't the best Roman, and Justin and myself have bought them to customise.

HI
With statements like these I guess I just do not see where the problem is. Buy the stecks while you can

I´d say go for the romans. They are nice and new. Get them while you can. There wil always be second hand steck.

buy the lot of steck , you can buy the specials from some toy store cheaper than the net and if you want so many of those!!! it seems that the castles are a good chance to buy it very cheap so leave the klicky's for an another time they 'll be on toystores until december( at least) perhap's they will have them next year as well but because the romans are discontinioud must probably the special will stop too!!!!

I thought the same when I invested in several System X castles, but Playmobi appear to me to have dropped it for Historical themes. The Egyptian buildings, Dragonworld Towers and next generation of Castles have all failed to be System X.
For Medieval Castle building, I think there's actually more Steck around than System X, due to more sets using it initially, and it's no more expensive than System X castles on eBay.

You could be right, Martin. I mainly chose System X because it was readily available and inexpensive. (I purchased four Eagle Castles for under $200 shipped and these provided most of what I needed for my Medieval castle and Roman fort. I supplemented these sets with some parts from US DS, which they miraculously shipped to me!) Now that I have all the castle parts I need, I'm not wanting any more, so Steck v. System X v. the new click system is a non-issue, although the new castles do intrigue me. I guess one can never have too many castles!

Thanks everyone for your replies! :)
I decided against buying it as it got way too expensive.
Other people saw it I guess. :-\
Oh well, that means Triarii units instead! ;D ;D ;D
