My mother sent me a copy of this article from 25th May issue of the Daily Telegraph, it's title in the paper was "The Model Army Fighting for Innocence"

Great article! and good to see he doesnt really approve of all the new technologies. At least it keeps them honest but I also understand they need to change according to a different market behaviour!

Thank's for sharing this information Martin, & make sure to give your mother a big thank you too!

Very interesting, Martin, and thanks for posting the link.
Maybe if Geobra read it carefully the traditional values of Playmobil will be reinforced again.

That's a great positive article, and brilliant for Playmobil!

very intresting information !!!!!!!!!
-
nice article.
why do they write "Herr Beck" and "Herr Brandstatter" in the article?
shouldn't it be "Mr. Beck" and "Mr. Brandstatter"? Is it to emphasize they are german? ???
could anyone encrypt the secret new design? :)
best,
socrates

Enjoyed the article and video very much indeed! Thanks!!!!!!
@ socrates, because it sounds more german, so yes, yes and not me. ;)

Great article, pics and video.
It looks like the reporter and his team enjoyed themselves at the factory.
Good to know that Playmobil's sales increased here in the UK, 33% WOW. :o
I wonder if the new remote control car with camera will be part of the new spy theme?
And every year Playmobil's toys have to become more sophisticated to compete. Next year Playmobil – which for the last 35 years has assiduously shunned batteries – is launching a remote–control car with video camera.

Thank you, I really enjoyed seeing how it is all made. Wonderful stuff.
-
Thanks for the video and the information Martin! And say thank you to your mom!

Thanks for the link, Martin!. I just went back and looked through all the photos which I missed the first time I read the article and watched the video. They were well worth the look. Great fun!

I also didnt spot the pictures on the first go so here is a link directly to the pictures:

Thank you Gis for this link!!! I was amazed to see the raw material (the small plastic mini balls) that turns into our most beloved toy!!!

Yeah seeing the production process is indeed great but must admit that seeing those BIG quantities does take the romance out of things a bit for me. It all becomes so much less special. I know HOW it works but seeing it makes it to real.
