Title: Phoenicians
Post by: Corkskrew on January 16, 2006, 20:33:51
Here's pics of some Phoenicians i customised. The Phoenicians also known as Carthaginians, for those who do not know, were a vast empire  in the Meditteranean. Malta formed part of this empire, and it is thought that the maltese language originates from phoenician.

Their enemies were the Romans who won the Phoenicians in what are known as the "Punic wars". Malta then became Roman.

Here's the King and some citizens.

It is very cool

I cant believe how many dark skinned people you have.

I have been looking for the old back people (not the modern tan) with Yellow arms, and black hands.  Do you have any spare yellow arms??

Your displays, as always, are ones that make other jealous.

keep up the good work

Nice customs, Brian.  I especially like the ship.

Like Meg, I'm amazed at how many brown figures you have, and the colours of their clothing.

Very nice job.  I am jelous of your collection as well.  It is very cool that that the women from the ocean vacation sets convert soo nicely to this theme.  I love the figure with the over the shoulder top.  It is amazing the customs you can do without adding paint and non-playmo items.

Great stuff! :)9

As always, I'm very impressed with the knack you have for choosing just the right parts to create authentic-looking klickies from any historical period that interests you. 8-)

Thanks for sharing the photos with us, Brian. :)
