Hello eveyone,
I few weeks ago I showed you my different approach of what a 7664 Black lion Guard should be like...different colours based on the Black Lion red and black shield...http://www.playmofriends.com/forum/index.php?topic=4444.0
Today, I'd like to show you how i used the brown and black klickies form that set to create a guard for the keep of my bad guys...What i did, was basically use only the brown torsos and the black legs....Then I changed the facial characteristics and hair...
-
And of course, a guard must have its captain....
I designed this guy, wanted to make him a bit scary, suspiciously looking back stabber kind of guy...added the bracers and shield from the new wolf knights...not a gold colour but rather a rusty one, just to make the distinction between him and his men...I also used a fat klicky just to make the distinction more noticable....
-
The black torso for the captain also shows the distinction as opposed to the brown colour of his men.... this torso i used in various of the black knights for the ranks of my bad guys...
The evil council of five is also ready, with an evil duke as their leader...
Do not despair though as most of my good guys are ready as well, just need to put more numbers in their ranks...
Thanks all fo visiting and stay tuned for more!!!! ;)

Those are great Wolf Knight! :wow: :wow: :wow:
I love that each klickie is an individual even though they are part of the same squad

You have definitely succeeded there! :0

Thank you Damo!!!! Glad to know you enjoyed them!!! And especially the captain.... :evilplan:

WOW :o fantastic job ! I really like the small details that make each figure unique in its own way! I have my own desire to make Klickys all the same that belong to a certain group, but enough differences to show individualism! You have accomplished this outstanding feat!

Thank you Bill!! Glad you enjoyed them!!! At some point I feared that i might run out of options....not with Playmobil!!! I now see that I could make some of them blond, grey and orange haired....

I can only agree with what every one else has said. Great work.

Hi,
Very nice customs, Wolf Knight. The captain, in particular, looks very menacing.
As you might guess, I, too, appreciate your efforts to make each figure an individual.
A suggestion: have you tried making your brown-body troops even more varied by using a couple of the torsos from the recent Arab Warrior special? I know the shade of brown isn't quite the same, but it's still pretty close, and it would add another degree of variation. Just a thought...
Anyway, very nice, and I look forward to seeing more!
Cheers,
AndrewL

The Brown top is one of my favorite bodies, but I don't see this group particularly as baddies. Mercenaries definitely, but they don't seem vewry menacing with their helmets all askew.
The leader doesn't really look like he belongs. If he had a brown cloak and matching shield, I think he'd fit in better.

Hi andrew, Thanks for your feedback!!! I like your suggestion but i've already tried it and i did not find it very appealing to my design. I think that fits better with vikings....I did try the brown torso that has smaller silver spots (how are they called again??) they fit much better but i want to use them in a different group....
I keep basic design the same as I might find a new idea about an accessory that i will really like to use in a single group, or a single individual...
My organisation of the troops is also a bit hierarchical so i like to keep inividual designs for officers or unique warriors and give the troops uniformity but differentiate the faces...

Hi Martin, thanks for your feedback!!
Oh they are mercenaries...they are just a guard for the keep of the bad duke...they are not supposed to be scary ....the duke has other klickies to do that for him(they become scarier as the move along)...these guards have been recruited from various parts of the realm and most of them were thieves, muggers etc (at least in my scenario)...small time crooks, just a group to throw into battle and see what the enemy tactics will be... If someone survives or shows a great skill or determination, he can make it to the Black Knights...then into the Dark Guard....and maybe, finally be able to make it to the Dark Sentinels... (how a simple mugger can achieve this...do not ask...)
The thing with the captain is that he is so twisted and evil...that he has no need to look scarier....he just acts...and he can determine who of them makes it further....
Remember, there is always more about someone than meets the eye....

Nice customs, Wolf Knight! I agree with Martin that they look great as mercenaries. I really like the story behind them and their leader. I can't wait to see your all your good and evil knight battalions revealed and what they and their leaders are up to!
