Thank you for your support WoT !!! I too love the Arhturian myth but have not dwelled much into it appart from the well known movies and a few books....

Unfortunately I have not taken a lot of pictures as the diorama is basically what you see....But i would like to introduce you to the cast....

From left to right: Sir Percival, Sir Galahad, Sir Kay, King Arthur, Sir Lancelot, Sir Bors, Sir Gawain....

-
Very nice diorama, Wolf Knight.  Nicely captures the atmosphere and spirit of King Arthur and the Round Table.   :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow:

-
As far as the table is concerned...its not playmobil of course...its a representation of a low round traditional greek table called sofras. It can be found as a souvenir in various traditional greek vilages. The actual table was used in order to knead bread....

-
Great Pics Wolf Knight! :wow: :wow: :wow:
Are they battlement connectors they're standing on? :P

Yes they are Damo...unfortnately this table is a little high for the klickies....so i had to make them stand on the battlements to look taller .... but i am trying to think of a way to change that....
-

 Splendid diorama, Panos!

Your Sir Lancelot looks exactly the way I picture him in my mind ... clean, pure, reverent and with shiny gold and silver armor ...  ;D

Thank you for an excellent presentation!
 Richard

				Hi Wolf Knight,

Absolutely fantastic customs and photos! I really like what you've done to give each knight (and King Arthur) a clear and different 'personality.'

To be honest, I've never really much cared for the whole Arthurian thing (I know: a strange attitude for someone with both a personal and professional interest in the Middle Ages), but somehow your figures and photos seem to capture something... Not quite sure what it is, but it very definitely works for me :)9

I (like many others, I'm sure) look forward to more photos!

 Cheers,

 AndrewL

Thank you very much Gordon  !!! I wanted something quite unique for these guys, and I am so happy to know I've captured the true essence of the theme!!!

So glad you enjoyed them Andrew  !!!! I think what makes this work so good is the different knights, as you pointed out (and somehow it works for all the characters), and the Round Table of course!!!!
And since you are so anxious to see more....I'll try my best!!!!  ;)

Hack the table legs down, that's what I say ;D

 Thats on thought indeed Damo....
-
Excellent portrayal of my most favorite mythical story :wow:! You have captured the feeling perfectly ! Are you going to add a Merlin, & Lady Guinevere :yup:?

-
				Very nice setup and customs!

I always felt the original Playmobil knights were of the Camelot style, and we've move a long way away since, but I like your designs.

When Karim gets to Winchester he will see a 14th Century table that pretends to be the original round table.

To be honest, I've never really much cared for the whole Arthurian thing ...

Same here, unless it's made fun of:

We're knights of the round table.
We dance when e'er we're able.
We do routines and chorus scenes
 With footwork impeccable.
We dine well here in Camelot.
We eat ham and jam and spam a lot.

We're knights of the Round Table.
 Our shows are formidable,
But many times we're given rhymes
 That are quite unsingable.
 We're opera mad in Camelot.
We sing from the diaphragm a lot.

In war we're tough and able,
 Quite indefatigable.
Between our quests we sequin vests and impersonate Clark Gable.
It's a busy life in Camelot.

I have to push the pram a lot.

Thank you Wolf Knight, you did seem to capture the 'feel' quite nicely and like Richard I think your Lancelot is spot on.

-
  Excellent figures and photos Wolf Knight!

-
That's a great custom photo, Wolf Knight!  The setting is very atmospheric and, as others have posted, each klicky is quite individualized.

-
Are you going to add a Merlin, & Lady Guinevere :yup:?

Great idea Bill....I've already began thinking about the two characters in playmobil terms!!!! ;)

Wish there were more seats at my table

Your Knights are very well done, Wolf Knight
Shortening the table would be very easy...building a new one the size required for 12 knights would be real easy as well...you could put a print of the "real" table top
on the larger table.  If you would like to do that, and need help, just yell ;D  I
think 1/8 inch birch plywood would be the wood I would use :)....just an idea...

 Best regards,
 Jimbo

Yes! Though the Tudor rose was painted during Henry VIII's reign at least a century after its construction, and really has nothing to do with the original concept. Henry was a great jouster in his younger days and no doubt a big fan of the whole KORT and Camelot stories, and was looking to put his Heraldry on the table.

				Outstanding Sir Wolf , outstanding  ;D ;D ;D
