Hi there,
I'm glad to be here with you, I was looking for a way of being connected with playmo fans from overseas countries to share my passion... and also to improve my english wich I'm loosing more and more... So first, I'd like to appologize if my english is poor or sometime doesn't make sens to you guys...
I will shortly introduce myself as a 38 old guys who recently get back to his favorite toys... When I was a child I had some playmo but so few as my parents couldn't afford to buy a lot to me. But I played a lot with what I had and untill I became a teenager and stop to play with other toys such as starwars toys and so on...
2 years ago I bought some playmo (Flora shop) to my pretty princess who's now 6 years old and discovered that she rather played with those playmo than her little poeple... so I started to buy some other sets that she likes such as princess, gardening theme... I found my old playmo in the attic and than tried to buy those I really wanted when I was a child and that never received... such as the Pegasus airplane, and others treasures... Finally I started to be addicted... me and my princess... Her name is Alizée, so my pseudo nickname became naturaly Alizobil...
We have started to be active in www.playmoboys.com forum and met some other playmo fans all over the country. Finally we made some diorama and show off some of our creation. Alone of with Alizée wich is very funny as she likes it so much. Alizée and me have been choosen by a famous TV channel in france to broadcast what could be relationship between a dad and her daughter toward a toys passion... you can still watch this short video from TV on that link : http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xblcsj_100-mag-m6-alizee-son-papa-fans-de_creation (http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xblcsj_100-mag-m6-alizee-son-papa-fans-de_creation) Sorry it is in French...
I'm not only collecting sets, but also like to customize buildings and véhicules... I might show you what we're doing...
See ya!

Hi there,
Welcome to PlaymoFriends!
It's great to have people in your family to collect/play with.
I watched the video and I thought your displays around the house were magnifique! ;)
(I am slowly trying to learn French... not very good though...)
I like the music that played when you introduced the storeroom...
I hope you will show us more of your beautiful dioramas! :yup:

Welcome Dominique aka Alizobil, from the Sunny Pacific Northwest!
What a beautiful daughter! I think you are both very lucky that you get to spend so much father and daughter time together, playing with Playmobil! She clearly enjoys getting involved in designing and constructing your dioramas, and you have a LOT of Playmobil to work with.
I loved the views of your house with Playmo everywhere, and a whole storeroom dedicated to Playmobil. It reminds me of several other members' houses, though many of us don't have the spare room to dedicate to layouts, so we have 95% of our collection packed away in boxes.
We are a very international forum here, and your input from France will enhance the melange. We do have one or two other French contributors, but we have had such an influx of new members lately that I can't recall who they are!
Thanks for the great introduction, and I hope you enjoy it here!
cheers, Martin

thanks to all of you for your nice welcome.
yes I considere myself very lucky to be able to share very nice time with my daughter. She is full a great ideas even though she's very young... kids have some ideas that adults don't dare to have I guess... something that you can't see or guess from that video is that she speaks better english than I do and that's amazing me... even she doesn't know to read well, she's correcting my english speaking and most likely my very bad english accent that smells french...
and yes, I'm going to share with you some of my customs... let me just get use to the structure of this forum to be able to post where it should be...

welcome to our family, from san francisco. it was such fun to watch your video, the news channel spent quite a bit of time filming your home, your collections and the convention. your daughter looked very tired by the end of the day. my children (now 33 and 30) collected a playmobil when they were younger, but here in the united states it was quite expensive compared to other toys, so each piece was very special, and we never were able to purchase the big sets. looking forward to seeing more your creations.
