Hello, I am Dereck, and I'm in my mid-twenties. I just recently started collecting Playmobil (maybe about two years ago). I never had them as a kid, and I just discovered them in the store one day about five years ago. So they're not nostalgic for me, I just think they're cool. And when I started doing more research, I found out they are even more cool. I like the myriad of random and weird things they've created over the years. There is no logic in what I collect, it's just the things I like or things I find unusual. I do most of my purchasing over eBay, though there is one place in particular I buy from online, though I'm not sure if I'm allowed to mention that here. I'm also interested in trading, customizing, and finding out what cool and unusual Playmobil things have been made over the years.

You can mention any website here, we're not commercial.

Playmobil have certainly produced some fun & bizzare sets over the years, like the drunk tramp & policeman, and the airport security check set to name but two.

Lookign forward to seeing some of your collection!

I have only been collecting for a little over a year, so I'm sure you have much more in your collection than me.  Playmobil is great fun, isn't it?

Collecting Playmobil is ofcourse lots of fun...
but collecting with these guys increases the fun 10 fold!

Wow! I didn't expect so many responses already. Thank you all for the warm welcome.

I'll try to answer some questions. I live on the First Coast of Florida (north-east). I'm glad to see that people are from all around the world here.

I like to buy playmobil from www.scheffels.com He has a bunch of discontinued stuff there, fair prices, and quick shipping, and he's always very nice.

I will try to get some nice pictures soon.
