This is not new but I just came across it again recently, watched it, and enjoyed it thoroughly so I thought I'd share it here. 8-)
play time at mofreaky (http://www.mofreaky.com/mofreaky/page_movies/content/play_time/play_time.htm)
You need Quicktime installed to view the movie, and make sure your volume is up because it's set to a catchy piece of music. :)
The train enthusiasts will probably go a little green with envy when they see the scale of the layout Dug and Barth set up in this yard. :o

Thanks for reminding us of that great film! The kids and I watch that every once in a while for inspiration - and you're right, the Brazilian jazz background music is terrific.

Wow, so cool. 8-) Haven't sen that one before. Nice set up. Of course it's just RC *snif* but still, nice. ;D :P Good inspiration for doing some yard work this spring and summer. :D

Good inspiration for doing some yard work this spring and summer.
Boy is that the truth! I have started a small project in the front yard that hopefully should have some application to a small, temporary outdoor layout... when spring rolls around i hope to have some progress to report...

Tim,
Thanks for noticing the track too
I do have one RC train (the Christmas one)
but I am a sucker for the brass track electric models.
I need to do the same as CH clean out the room that I want as my designated PM room, and set up a train to circle the room around at the ceiling level. There will be no buildings, of course, but at least one train will be running.

Hello, Meg ...
You CAN have scenery and buildings! ... :yup:
I remembered seeing a suspended wall layout where they had used just the fronts of Playmobil buildings secured to the wall. It was amazing how realistic the buildings looked as the train rumbled by.
(I will keep looking for the photos of the buildings. In the meantime, you may enjoy seeing these.)

Like you, I'm a big fan of the brass rail and the "real" Playmobil electric trains!
All the best,
Richard
