Title: My "Army of Darkness" leaders!
Post by: Erik on February 23, 2010, 11:16:40
Hi all!I've been dabbling in "Fantasy" lately, courtesy of the "Dragonland" theme of course, and I've put toghether a rather substantial and grim looking "Army of Darkness",lol.I would like to introduce the leaders of this bad tempered and -mannered bunch to you.
1.The big guy-the "Evil one".
2.The green elves have the green/purple wizard, the red "Dragon knights" now
have the evil "Red Wizard"!
3.The rather unmannered "Chieftain of the Barbarian mercenaries".
4.The first lady of the Dark country:the "Dark Witch".
I hope you like them-they look like they need some love, lol!!!

They look mean on the outside...but they are probably
warm and fuzzy on the inside. ;D

Excellent sinister custom figures, Erik! I like how you made them look evil with the skulls & substituting heads :0! I think my favorite is the first one all in black  :)9!

You're probably quite correct in your assumption, Jimbo ...

This sinister looking group is really a quartet of very nice Klickys just trying on their really fantastic Halloween costumes that Erik has made for them ... albeit a bit early ...  ;D

All the best and thanks, Erik, for an early Halloween scare,
Richard

Very nice...and sinister! I keep visualizing little gems gleaming in the skull's eye sockets.

Hi Eric

Great looking evil customs you created. I guess now that we are getting the Dragon Knights we will be seeing a lot more of this dark evil element slowly crepe into our collections. My eldest son sure loves his evil dragon knights and he too will want to see what you created. The older dark knights in our collection were a bit Halloween-ish and these are much darker and more sinister looking

Thanks for sharing

Cool idea Gepetto! I think that would be a fantastic effect like the black wolf red eyes,....hey, the black red eyed wolf would make an awesome companion for the black evil figure! You could also use a 3840 green dragon's restraint chain & wrist manacle on the black wolf's neck making it look even more forbidding!

Hi

I just went to the craft store a week ago and bought some plastic clear gems that were in 1/2's. They would be tiny enough for that. I was going to glue 2 together for the mining layout but I do not like the look so I will ask my jeweler for badly cut diamonds instead, much more realistic  They would be perfect for this though and I may try it on the white skull until I can get the dark ones. Great idea Gepetto  :wow:

Wasn't there a white Pirate skull that had red jewels in the eye sockets?  ???

Hi

Yes it was a gold one 30 63 8322 and a gray one 30 63 8332 with red eyes in set 5809 . I like the jewels idea much better though

Hi

Is the dark grey skull you are using the wide one that does not fit on the skeleton or is it the narrower one for the skeleton? To me it looks narrow in your pictures.

It's the one sitting on top of the double-axe the 4694 "hooded ghost" special-it's removable.

Hi

Oh yes, one of those new specials we are not getting. We get all the "Back by Popular Demand" repeats this year  :'(

For some reason it looks like the smaller skull that fits the skeleton in your pictures  :hmm:

Hi

Yes and now seeing how useful the parts are going to be I will be looking or asking to get a half dozen or so one way or another.

Is this special on the chopping block any time soon? If we so not get it next year I want it to at least still be available in the domestic market abroad.

Hi

Thank for the extra pictures Mac Gayver, great customs. The skull now looks different than any one we have had? It looks like it has deep eye sockets.
