Hello Warrior!

I think your guy is this one from set 3933 (minus his whiskers):  30 00 7080 - Forest Ghost (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-00-7080)

(As usual, courtesy of Heather's Playmodb.)

Yes!!! That is exsacly it!!!
I have the little tree with the crystal in it too, and the hat and mushrooms and the beard is laying around here (though it is broken)!
Is there a girl that he comes with in any set?
I do not have her now (the price I pay for letting my sister play with her probably...) but I vaugly remember a green woman like him but with a dress?

I am in debt to Playmobil DB for so many things... I have used it many times to track down klickies for customs.
Thank you!

Hello again, Warrior!  I am glad to know that you are already familiar with Playmodb - it is an amazing resource for Playmobil information and Heather does a phenomenal job owning and running it!    :yup:  We are very lucky that she shares it with the world!

As to your question about a "green woman" - I don't know of any.  I knew your klicky immediately because that is a set I have (and love!) but I used the "Who's That Klicky? - Find Klickies with any characteristics you specify!" function of Playmodb to identify the set number.  I selected "green" under the "face colour" characteristic to identify your klicky - he was the only one who came up.  There is also a "light green" selection which yields the alien figures from the space theme.

Welcome to Playmofriends!   :)

There's a leafy lady in set 3896 who could be the female counterpart to the forest ghost. She's called the Waterfall Fairy in Playmodb, but I'm not sure she really qualifies as a fairy as she has no wings.

I never had either of those two sets, but I do have 3897 Magic Tree set with the Green Man of the Wood and his gnome companion. The Green Man is an ancient symbol in English folklore, enjoying a revival since the 1970s with interest growing in preserving and celebrating English culture.

I beleive the leafy lady is the person I was looking for!
I also have other parts from that set so I am fairly sure.
Actually after looking at it for a little longer I am 100% sure!  :)
Thank you for your help!

Thank you Richard.
This post sparked the idea of finding all the old sets I may have,
and seeing what pieces from my current collection came from the old sets.
So far I am amazed at how many pieces from old sets I have found.
Thank you all for your help!

This particular Playmobil FairyTale/Fantasy theme was one of my favorite series.

I have all those sets- still some of my favorites.  Those plus the peasant sets- merry men's feast etc.  Wish they'd redo that theme...

Yes!  I agree!  Those sets were wonderful.  I'm late in collecting Playmobil, and would love to have those sets without having to bid for them on eBay.

Hello, Coyote ...

It seems that Robin Hood and his band of Merry Men has also been one of Geobra's favorite Playmobil themes. Starting way back in the 1970s and almost up to the present Robin Hood appears to have been one of Playmobil's stars!

And, of course, there was the entire "Merry Men" theme!

Here are a few of the sets featuring Robin Hood. There were more ...
(BTW ... those little arrows actually shot out of those crossbows!)

Hi

Those shooting crossbows are great. I seem to be low on arrows though  :(

It is always interesting to see the evolution of fantasy themes. Now we have laser-bazooka wielding flying knights . Boy the toys used to be innocent and simple.

We managed to get the forest ghost set last week and he was sat by my computer monitor as I read this!
I have the woodsman from the 3897 set but would love the tree - I have a thing about trees at the moment!  ;D

Thanks, WoT ... I've amassed quite a collection of Playmobil pictures over the years, as well as a huge collection of Playmobil.

Me too, I would love to get the merry mans feast ...

The Merry Men theme is also one of my favorite series of sets from Playmobil.

I think that there may have been about seven sets in the group.

Are we "hoarders" ?

Do we have some sickness ?

Are we JPN (just plain nuts) ?

Or, maybe we just have bigger allowances $$$ now than we had when we were kids ...

I love it !!! ...

My only complaint is that I don't have a VW bug to stuff full of Playmobil ...  :hehe:

I have seen your storage areas on another topic in GardenWargaming,
I am stunned that that many playmobil can exist in one person's hands!!!  :o :o :o

To Ras:
How much are you selling that car for? I just got my lisence...  ;D
Though I would hardly be buying the car. :D ;)

Hi, WoT ...

The storage areas on GardenWargaming are only the "Canadian" collection. The "Caribbean" collection is almost as big ... and growing.

And, when I look at the inventory of the combined collections, I too, "am stunned that that many playmobil can exist in one person's hands!!!" ...

Thanks for that Gepetto,  :)9 I had a look online but I expect the postage would be quite a bit, however I've found a couple on ebay so I'm going to try my luck at those for now   :prays:

Her wings are just a removable clip-on.

:P lol!, I have to admit that I was tempted by some similar scheme, while I saw (once more) Richard's collection ... 8} (There's a thread, in the Collector's Corner ::) ..)

-x-

I wish they relaunched that Robin Hood (the picture in the middle), in a blister pack :-[ .. unlikely.

I managed to get a few (not many, but enough) of that 4672 blue archer, which is one of my main characters! =)

I wish I had thought of it when he was still available from playmobil.
Now I will have to look at Ebay for him...
I think I would buy a bunch of these hats and use them for him...

How would you customise him to be more Roman?
I would use the hats because I think I saw roman archers using them somewhere...
and I know greek archers used them.
