Title: Medieval Life
Post by: kenc on February 03, 2010, 15:29:17
Some more pictures. This time some scenes of the new church/cathedral I'm (in fact my klickies are) working on  ;D
The last one is a different shot of a burning castle Neveling I posted before but from a different angle.

I'm in total awe of your magnificent photography  :wow:! The pictures look as if it is all real! Do you use photo shop or photo soft ware to achieve these excellent effects  ????

Are we actually seeing a cathedral being built out of SystemX? ...  :(o):

Ken, I never thought that I'd ever see you build anything but Steck structures.

However, I must admit ... it's looking good ...  :)9

Are you predicting a completion date?

And, the "blue" busts are rather intriguing.

All the best,
Richard

Amazing work Ken, I love it. Makes me want to unpack my own church (still in its box since I bought it a year ago)
Quick question: Where did you get that lovely black roof for the roundtower?

Probably from the wedding church set 4296.
(And, never feel "stupid" ... Until I looked it up, I thought that they were from the FairyTale Castle, 4250.)

Thanks for asking the question!

 I'd just looked at that as well - I guess I didn't see it in the picture (although it is quite hard to spot :lens:)
Thanks Richard :)

Your pictures are magical and full of intricacies!

Those white arches caught my eye too and left me wondering what set they were from.  Thank you for clearing that up flatcat and Richard.  ;D

Superb photos, what an amazing set up.   :wow:
I also thought the arches were from the fairy tale castle at first - and I have a church!  :-[
Looking forward to seeing more of the construction of that cathedral.

Hi Kenc

Great photos of your medieval crew building the church. Is this the same amazing church you have shown and this is a remodel or are you creating a whole new one? Your photos, angles and editing look simply magnificent.

Thanks for sharing

These are marvelous photos, Kenc, and they inspired me to go searching for more pix of Castle Neveling.  I came across a thread that you started almost a year ago: Castle Neveling, City of Kodosak (http://www.playmofriends.com/forum/index.php?topic=3029.msg35597#msg35597) - I don't know how I missed it then!  Your designs are amazing and your photography is stunning!

If there is anyone else who missed it the first time around, I urge you to click on the blue link above for a real treat!  :yup:

Hi

I went to dig out a picture of Kenc's church and it just happened to be in the same tread as the link you posted. There were more somewhere but these are quite stunning pictures. I also urge and dare you to click and check them out. From what I remember it took 4 churches and DS to create this beauty

Ken has been entertaining and astounding us with his beautiful creations and photos for quite some time.

Here are a few from The Garden Wargaming site that Ken shared with us several years ago:

Strange to see those early pics again  :-[  :-[   :-[ Those were made in the beginning of my photo editing activities, it's clear that at time, there was a long way to go  ;D  ;D. For the first one I even used the Windows XP desktop background...  ;D

Indeed I'm creating a new one. Sys-x may not be the right building system for castles, as to churches and cathedrals, it has very nice parts. I still need a lot from DS...

Early or not, Ken ... IMHO, They're still GREAT photos!

The night scenes in the town are FANTASTIC !!!

And, David said they were the inspiration for his "Night of the Reaper" (http://www.justforklicks.com/j4k/stories/reaper/title.html) medieval village photos at Just 4 Kl!cks! (http://www.justforklicks.com)

All the best,
Richard

Hi Kenc

Knowing what your first Church/cathedral looked like I am patiently waiting to see what kind of creation you can come up with this time. Hopefully your DS is better stocked and you get the necessary parts in a timely fashion.
