Howdee :whip:
Here is what I came up with on the parts and pieces I have so far. Before I cut/glue/paint I wanted to see what you thought before I do. I was thinking of using the up-most balcony railing and using it on the 2nd story balcony. I will have to cut/glue some up to do it. Then on the 1st floor opening I think it would look better to have the open-framework piece extend all the way across with out a center post. I will cut/glue two pieces that are the double wide. Then paint the L corner brown, the T's gray and the door & frame yellow. Thank you PB (http://www.playmofriends.com/forum/index.php?topic=3949.msg48523#msg48523) for your ideas :wow:

You might consider 30 07 0800 - Framework support (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-07-0800) from the old farm set for the ground floor. You may have to shave off the little pin on the upper tip of it but it would allow you to do away with that middle support piece. No idea if they are available from DS at this point.

Hi Tim
I found only one so far, how does this look ? any better ? If i use it I will have to grind out a few tabs that keep it from fitting in to the upper floor. If I use the hitching bars I will have to modify them as well

I think it looks ok, but see it is going to be a lot of adjustments to amke it work. There's also the possibility of using the same posts as the level above, just 4 instead of 2.
Here is an example found at a movie blog

I think the second version is better. The "log" railings in the first version are too heavy looking for use above ground level. And does the ground level need railings anyway?

I agree with Gordon regarding the 2nd floor railing.
On the 1st floor, how would it look to just have the end columns and leave the rest open?
I feel you need the name "Gold Nugget" repeated just above the door, as in Tim's pictures, as right at the top of the building it's too neck-stretching for klickies on the ground to read.

Hi Rasputin,
Your saloon looks pretty good! :)9 May i recommend you to use the framework at the side of the saloon instead at the front? That would save you from grinding out the tabs and it would look "lighter". For the railings you could also use the railing of the safari station 3433. Unfortunately the link to playmodb is not working.
Cheers
