Hello friends!! :wave: I am pleased to present my first ever photostory. It was conceived in the homebound madness of a harsh Christmas blizzard that forced my girlfriend and I to abandon our plans to visit family. Please excuse my amatuer photog skills at times. I hope you enjoy the story as much as we did making it.
A tale of betrayal, greed, friendship, and redemption, a true triumph of the human spirit...

That is about how a visit goes especially if Santa is on a break :lol: When we went the camera broke just for us and the line started to loose it 8}
This was a great story and it really brings back memories similar to Little Ralphy in Christmas Story.
Great job on the photos, the scenery and I really like your use of text bubbles :clap:

This is such a silly story :lol: I really like it and it is so modern with its slang and attitudes :lol: I really like how your speech bubbles look. The black outline and the font you used is perfect. My Photoshop only has very limited selections and they are hard to incorporate. What are you using to edit them in?

Hi Ras! :wave: I'm glad you like the modern angle and silliness. ;D The comic bubbles come from a website called superlame.com where you upload a picture and add the bubbles. There is just the one font in different sizes, but a few different bubbles. The picture saves with the website's little marker in the corner, which I cropped out because advertising their site in a hundred pictures seemed a bit much. So I give superlame.com props now.
Hey there Martin! :wave: You nailed the influence for this story! I love that movie and when I got the new Target Santa sets, I knew I had to try a bad santa. There is a bit of Christmas Story in there too. It was intended for just a picture, but when the mall set and all the characters were assembled, I knew it had to be bigger than just one photo. I had to shoot it all without the aid of a tripod, which I was suppose to get for Christmas >:( I also held one of the lights in alot of photos which leads to some uneven results at times. I learned alot though and look forward to making a more polished story next time. :yup:

Great story. It is possible to do outlines in Photoshop Elements, it's just not so obvious how. You create the shape, simplify it and then from the edit menu choose Stroke and set your options.

Fantastic story!
Great first time work too, El Jefe! It's hard to get all the angles, lighting, focus etc., especially if you have to hand hold the camera, but apart from a couple of the early shots I didn't notice anything, I was focussed on the drama.
I love that Bad santa Movie, it's not all that well known, I guess because it looks at the darker side of Christmas, but it's got a happy ending and better than watching Elf twenty times!
I need to work on getting those speech bubbles going in my stories, they do move things along quicker.

Thank you all for your wonderful comments. :love: Ras- I see you've tried out the superlame bubbles, very nice, wascally wabbit. ;D I would highly recommend the Bad Santa movie. Billy Bob Thorton's Santa makes Scotty look like an absolute saint. Don't watch that one with the kids. ;)
Tiermann- Tangelo has a good home now. Those other pets are just jealous because they didn't get adopted for Christmas. ;D
Oh and Rasputin, what is this V-H-S you speak of?? ??? Some archaic form of movie transmission?
