Hi Mac Gayver :elf:
I sure wish I would be able to attend but I hate leaving the US. In the flyer it talked about "a show case of rare proto-types, a Playmobil museum and extensive unique collections" :hmm:.
Then it goes on later to state "Watch 'behind-the-scenes' films of the production of PLAYMOBIL toys " :o
then again another eye opening statement "Show-cases from private collectors: see the most unique items, become part of the fascinating culture of PLAYMOBIL" could Geobra actually be taking the collectors seriously ?
Thank you Who ever put this together and to Geobra for participating

We really need a dedicated distribution source here in the USA, by the time PM realizes the problems here it may be too late! Collectors will eventually get tired of lack of products >:(! Just like it's been a long time coming for PM to even acknowledge collectors world wide!

supported by collectors etc ...
Are you going to have a display there, Mr Painter Elf?

Wow, great news and I will certainly be going (45 minutes away for me).
Lego has a yearly event in Holland for many years now, which are a huge success. Usually in the town of Zwolle I think.
I guess the folks at playmobil finally realised this might work for them as well. I am very curious.
The Jaarbeurs convention halls are in Utrecht. IF you fly to Amsterdam Airport (Schiphol), you can get to these halls within the hour max. Very good train connections.
You can also fly to Rotterdam Airport (Zestienhoven), but this airport has no direct train connection so that will take you longer, but you probably can still manage within two hours to get to Utrecht.

Hi All,
I will attend as this is close to my home:)

This event looks fantastic and is only 2 or 3 hour drive from where I live in Germany.
I hope to make it.
One question:
Life-size PLAYMOBIL figurines will teach children the latest PLAYMOBIL
dances and moves
HUH?! Totally lost on this one.
-
Germany eh? :'(
Oh well, If they ever host one in the US I will be the first one there! ;)
Have fun all you lucky people who get to go!

I think the dances and moves are sitting on your hands while opportunities pass you by in 3/4 time!

Well, I am definately going over for this exhibition, the ferry is booked and it looks likely we'll be there on May 2nd. ;D
Can anyone tell me if we are able to buy tickets on the door or whether we have to buy them before on the internet etc. I have checked the Jaarbeurs website but cannot get it to work properly on my computer!
Also, does anyone know if there will be stands where you can buy Playmobil retired items etc or whether it will only be the official shop with the current assortment....I ask only so I can decide how much money to bring as I don't want to be carrying too much or too little cash!! 8}
Cannot wait to see all the displays of Playmo past and present, and I might try to talk them into letting me have a 5ft Playmo person
too.

Hello Claire
The event is organised by Playmobil itself , uptil now there will be no second hand playmo for sale . Only new . The question to have a secondhand fair was propposed ,but regarding how the hall is divided I guess there will be none
I suggest you get tickets online , as I ment to understand , they seem to have a limitted amount of tickets
Have a safe trip

Hello all,
Just new to the forums. But this event is really what got my Playmobil vibe buzzing again.
I really was not done looking at all the lovely diorama's however the kids were not as patient to examine them. Daniela your Opera House was really a beauty to behold. So much to discover...I loved it!
I did make some pictures of the event and would like to share them but couldnt find an anything in the photo section yet. Am I not looking good enough or? What would the best place to put those pictures?
