Title: Playmobil Wreath 2009
Post by: Tiermann on December 06, 2009, 02:09:19
It's been a few years since I've put together a Playmo wreath, so thought I would do one again. This is a smaller lighted wreath that has a little white flocking on it. I've decorated it with various Playmo figures - polar bear and cubs, skiers from the ski rescue set, Eskimo and Kayak and Eskimo and Dogsled, and a random snowman I have from some set or other. Mixed in with these are various winter themed decos. A few blue glass balls, lots of sparkly branch thingys, a bunch of the plastic angel hair stuff, a few clear glass balls, and snowballs of styrofoam.

and here is a bit of a teaser from my Santa Castle this year. It's my largest yet, the same basic structure as the one I posted for Halloween but with a small wing added on. The addition includes the return of the Greenhouse.

This is gorgeous! I love it, Tim! :inlove:

Much more attractive and tasteful than some of the Christmas wreaths I have seen in the shops. A small florist near here makes some beautiful wreaths from real leaves, but they are too expensive for me.

Can't wait to see the rest of your Santa Castle display! You have inspired me to get out my elves and other Christmas Playmo and make a toy workshop scene. :D

Great wreath Tim, where do you hang it? My mother usually has a wreath on her front door for Christmas, but I'd be afraid of it getting stolen in part or whole as our door opens straight onto the street. You may have fewer thieves in your area  ;D.

Love the Elves working away in the greenhouse. I wish Playmobil would do more elves in different colors*.

Hi Tim

Great looking wreath  I really like the very winterly theme you chose. The white snow ( much better choice than the funky smelling yellow ;)), snow balls, winter Klickies, and the white lights really conveys the season so well.

   Thanks for sharing

That wreath really is superb, Tim. A nice choice of figures covering Christmas and winter and all nicely put together with the more traditional Christmas decorations and modern materials.

I agree with Sylvia, more of the Santa castle display (and the elves at work).

The wreath is in my living room on the wall near the Santa Castle. You will have to come over and see it in person when you get here Martin. Castle pictures will be coming but probably not until the weekend at the earliest. I need the best possible light (meaning sunny daytime) to get the best photo results without having to use flash.
