Title: Subforums ?
Post by: PlayMoto on November 21, 2009, 16:48:45
Maybe this is not the correct place, but couldn't figure where'd belong ;-)

Would it be an idea to have subforums in for example the customs forum?
Right now there are a lot of topics scattered in there about several topics. for instance, there are a lot of topics about fire-customs. It be nice if they're grouped together.

just my 2 cents, any other thoughts???

If this idea had support from the majority of active members, I'd be willing to give it a go.

Some people like the idea of sub boards because it helps to categorize topics better; others don't because it creates extra layers to search through.

edit: I added a poll to this topic. :)

Organizing customs into subforums (e.g. historical and modern) might make threads easier for members to find, although it might limit the threads' exposure.  I'm not sure the current volume of posts warrants subforums.

I can see where putting custom projects into categories would be helpful, but would it be the responsibility of the posting member to make sure their post is submitted in to the correct category? How many categories would there end up being?

Hi M Frankena

I would have to agree with Justindo about the fact that there just does not seem to be enough traffic or posters at this time to justify dividing it up . When this group gets to the membership numbers as say Klickywelt (2044) than I would consider voting differently .
