Title: finally a holiday train
Post by: Rasputin on November 06, 2009, 18:36:09
Well after years of looking and waiting I finally broke down and picked up the Christmas train. I plan on someday reworking it to be electric as I get quite annoyed at the RC's batteries .

Sorry about the quality It was done shadows of the moon light very late  :zz: to keep the kids from seeing it till Christmas morning

Basically the Big Man has been tired of living in the cold so he spent the seasons hiding in Florida . They need to get him to the north to prepare for , you know what .

"Ok hum-de-dum off to work I go"

Excellent pictures of the upcoming holiday theme! I really like the Steck background! One question, what type of cobble stone base are you using to lay your track on?

Hi Bill

Thanks for the compliment. The pebbles are made by a company called Lemax and I bought it here (http://www.dollhousestrainsandmore.com/large-pebble-mat.html). I am sure you could get it locally at a hobby shop . I liked the 18" X 36" and it is rubber like material. The water they make is not that great looking. I would take some pictures if you want to see it up close .

Love it, I would like one myself but since it was never released in europe chances of me getting one are pretty slim.

Hi Highland

Thanks for the reply and kind compliment. I bet you recoginse some of your talented work (http://www.playmofriends.com/forum/index.php?topic=3702.0) duplicated in these pictures  ;) I did not have any castles I wanted to dismantle and had just bought a bunch of the sheds, so there you have it .

Good old sheds! Good thing you had the foresight to invest in them when you did, kudos! Great setup Rasputin, your boys are going to love it, is there a flatcar with the sled or was that left up North?

Hi Gepetto

Thank you for the kind feedback, Yes I am a sucker for clearance Playmobil. Like your tip on the TM sale ;) Yes you are right about the flatcar not being seen , and yes again it is up north being packed up . Santa is going green transportation this year in hopes of promoting mass rail transit
