Title: Halloween Castle 2009
Post by: Tiermann on October 28, 2009, 19:41:06
Hi all, I am going to post this here even thought there isn't a specific story to it. It's quite a few pictures of my Halloween Castle display.

That's all for this year I think. Getting decent shots with not enough light takes some effort and I will be gone for the weekend.
Have a Happy Halloween everyone

Thanks for the nice comments everyone.
Gepetto - that darn tool rack (originally a rifle rack), the tools kept falling off when I tried to place it. I ended up using the white tacky stuff to hold them on. For the dinosaur skull I ended up hot gluing it to the wall, the tacky stuff wasn't strong enough to hold the weight.
The Bride of Frankenstein is a custom I did a few years ago. The hair is steel wool with a painted stripe. The bandaged arms are done with the paper tape from my first aid cabinet, and my wonderful mom sewed the cloth for me.

bumping this up after some interest was expressed in the recent Ghost Story thread
My 2010 castle will be far more interesting structurally, I have a 4 by 4 foot area to work in this year instead of the shelf. I've used every steck castle wall connector I have at this point and am shopping for more to finish up.

He said he had more available space -> isn't bigger always better *grin*

(I know it isn't, but sometimes...it just is)

Well the space has allowed me to incorporate the Baron's Battle Tower base in a display finally.
I've just won some more steck in an eBay auction so hopefully I am set for this construction. I'm already thinking about how I will build my Santa Castle in November...
