Title: SURPRISE from DS (DIRECT SERVICE)
Post by: Richard on October 25, 2009, 17:46:24

Is this "NEWS" or "REPORT AND REVIEW" OR "WHAT'S THIS?"

Ras led me astray when he told me about the BIG online sale at Playmobil USA ...  ;D

I placed a fairly sizable online order and waited for delivery. In about a week I received a large box from Playmobil.

My first surprise was that EVERYTHING I ordered was in the box (including my scuba diver bonus set)! ...

My second surprise was two identical bagged sets that I had NOT ordered nor had ever seen before. They were NOT numbered and they didn't seem finished.

Has anyone else received these?

Hi Richard,

Is this perhaps related to/one of the figures chacalote described in this thread: http://www.playmofriends.com/forum/index.php?topic=2853.0 ?

Cheers,

AndrewL

That's interesting, they're trying out Color again. They did some great color sets in the past.

Yes, they did, Tim!

My all time favorite color set was 3660 the Medieval Baggage Train. I remember how excited I was to find it when we were in Italy back in the 1980s.

Hi, I placed the order as well and remembered the Tread about the Color sets being included . While on the phone I asked if I could get some of these and the lady informed me that they were only running a limited time promotion and they were all out of the color figures . Well I begged here, told here I had none of these and I just ask for her to do what she could. She told me she would send a message to the warehouse and that was it . Well a few days ago I got my package and there like you Richard were the two vikings and one diver-game.
:wow: Thank You Playmobil USA :wow:

"Begging" often works, Ras ...  ;)

Congratulations ...  ;D

I received the generic Viking in my last order too!  But in addition to him, I received a generic royal lady.  Of course, I got my scuba diver (of which I have quite a few).  I thought it was pretty nice of them to include a little extra.

They are probably going to offer coloring pen sets in the upcoming months, say 15 pens for $23.99!

I've received several of these Vikings and one or two of the lady with the skirts.  I've simply been using them for parts for customs.

Hmmm ... Looks like many Playmofriends received these sets to color. Wonder how many of these sets were actually produced?

Maybe Gepetto is correct ... Maybe Playmobil is now going to try to sell all of us some coloring pens ...
