Number 11 is a ladder connector for the old wooden ladder - see here

http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-02-5280

#3 I thought this was the base for a swing in an old playground set. eg. 3552 (http://www.collectobil.com/images/items/3552.jpg) but the connectors look different.  :eh?:

#5 is probably the handlebars from a snowmobile - http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-06-7610

#15 also looks familiar - a bit like the folded down roof which sits at the back of a carriage or a convertible, but the scale is a bit off.

#7 I think is the upright pole from the quintain in 3668. If you have no use for it, I have one that's a bit broken and needs replacing, but can't be got as a spare.

#15 possibly from the victorian perambulator in 5510, would need a better picture to be sure.

# 17 may be one end of the tournament stand in 3652.

#4 looks like a dog house roof...30 20 2410..there is a couple of them in different colors.

Post by: Rasputin on October 10, 2009, 13:20:51
Gordon , #4 yes thats it and would explain why there was half a dozen  :wow:

Sylvia, #3 I do have the base that came in this lot and this particular piece is smaller ( I know I had one of these before I just seem to never be able to place it )
#5 yes  :wow:
#15 that is what it does look like to me too but it is so small  ???

Martin ,#7 yes that is it and I have to check if i have a broken one also but if I do not its yours  :)9
#15 yes I just happen to have one and it is it exactly  :wow:
#17 I think you are right  :wow:

Jimbo, I thought it might be something like that but it is much bigger . I then thought it might be a roof to a animal feeder or shelter  ???

Hey we could almost make a game of this  :eh?: You have to name a set # or part # where the part belongs  :**:

Hey we could almost make a game of this  :eh?:

Looks like Martin is winning this game so far. :)9

I have always felt that way about these types of topics. We could even do it with parts that we have already identified ourselves. It's really fun to test your parts knowledge!

Is #8 a slightly flexible piece? It looks like it could be a back rail section of the seating from a circus set, like in 3553 (http://www.collectobil.com/catalogue/items/3553.htm) or 3720 (http://www.collectobil.com/catalogue/items/3720.htm).

Number 4 is from set 3412 it is the roof of the shepperd cart.
Number 8 is a part from the old red circus to hang the bell on and a wooden ladder (it's steck!!!). I can't be arsed to look up the set number.
Number 14 is also a steck part used to mask the edge of a platform (safari house, cargo terminal)

Sylvia , Yes point for you it is from the circus .   :confetti:

Highland ,  Point on the roof , I have never seen that one before
yes it is what # 14 is - point, I found it in 7400

Sylvia is up to 2  :cheerlead:

Highland
jumps in with 2 as well :cheerlead:

Gordon who started us off is at 1 :cheerlead:

Martin is in the lead with 3 :cheerlead:

I wondered if 3 is a sign - the type that would attach to a pole.
Is number 1 flat or are the sides raised up? it reminds me of something but I can't remember what!  :-\ I did get number 8 from set 3553 but Highlandcattle posted while I was checking!  ::)

Elaine

I've been thinking along those lines, too, it coild be this from the supermarket:

http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-22-5910

or, less likely, this shelf from the horse farm

You'll see #13 in boats like 3540 (there you can see), and 3539 (I had one of this model, and I think they brought the piece, though it's been a while, and I'm not sure). It's for tie up the boat on port.

Title: Re: some mystery parts

#16 looks like either the lid to a crate, or a trapdoor, but I haven't been able to find it on Playmodb under either word search.

#18 looks like part of a window, the hinges to the top left as we see it.

Could we see #9 from a differene angle? It looks like a small winch handle, possibly from a modern boat set.

#6, again hard to see from this angle, but is it a hook, offset from the centre of the bar?

# 10, could we see this held by a klicky? It looks like a handle to something, possibly in the construction theme which favours bright colours, but I'm not sure which bit the klicky can get their hand round.

Martin is in the lead with 3

note 2: parts 12 & 6 seem to be broken and the arrow indicates which direction the missing section goes

I thought #9 could be part of a bicycle, like the one in set 3346 but, as I was taking a look at the instructions, at PlaymoDB, it seems that the bike is one piece only, therefore, my theory goes down ... :hmm:

Oh, I noticed the Arabian rifle without the second handle, by the way ... Looking forward to a better picture, so as to give a better judgement on it but: hasn't the handle been ripped off? ::)

I'll let you know if I find out any other of these mysterious parts, Ras! ;)

# 23 i will have to check as i think this one has a different shape ( a bit flatter )

Pingo was very close. It's a blanket for a cradle:

http://www.playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30%2005%203180

I'm fairly sure there was a greyish-coloured one in the Western Farmhouse set, #3769.

Sylvia, yes that is the flatter blanket and it fits nice and snug point for a total of 3

My only complaint is that I have wasted spent so much time trying to solve some of these mysteries but I have had absolutely no success.   :hissyfit:

You think you "Wasted" so much time , I have had a lot of these parts sitting around for over a year . Heathers Data is just so extensive that when I start searching for something I get quickly sidetracked ( "oh ya look at those, they would be so perfect in this project , oh wait there are different colors , oh no look at all the parts with similar names , oh look at those"  8} ) Hence the 10 page spread-sheet of parts to order

I need to give this round of "Parts Identifying Extravaganza" a dead line . I figure as I am just now see the need to do this I will give up to OCTOBER 31 @ 11:59 PM - so the last day of October . Any parts points can be  submitted up to that date and time to the last second . The winner will be determined soon after and will need to choose their prize

Good luck

PS: now that I found some rechargeable AA batteries I can take requests for  detailed pictures of individual parts ...

31 = headlight from the black racebike

the pictures are very unclear for me

#29 looks very like a winch harness, but I don't think it's Playmobil, I certainly couldn't find it in any searches I've done. Can you see if it fits onto a Klicky?

#6 I think is just a bit of sprue.

#2 looks like a griddle for a BBQ, but again I've not been able to identify it as being part of a Playmlbil set.

If you do figure it out you might want to wait for the 2nd round and score yourself a point :shhhh:. It will be included in there along with the new mystery parts I have been getting .

Does it have a casting part number on it?

I will look but not all parts do . It can actually be a bit strange . A really small part that you would think would be hard to fit the extra detail in the mold does (Stretcher strap/belt 30 09 417 cast # 3202340 1). A part that is large and seems easy to fit it in does not (Cage end wall, hinged to serve as ramp 30 45 963) 8} It might be a production year thing. Maybe somebody with more experience in plastic molding know more as I am just going to be guessing.
