First ever official Playmobil exhibition in France
First exhibition in France of the Playmobil brand, made famous for its figurines since 35 years. It is more than 1000 characters with their accessories which will invite the children and the adults to be dreamed, to imagine, play and rejouer with the knights, the workmen, the Indians….

Luxembourg Exhibition this week-end 22 and 23 August 2009

This exhibition begins Friday on August 21, where a hundred of collectors from Germany, of France, Belgium and Luxembourg gather to create individual dioramas or in community or to prepare their stand of sale.
Half the surface of 1000m2 is reserved for the exhibition and the other for the 24 stands of sale left again on more than 100 tables where one can find old boxes of Playmobil unopened; occasion or even of the boxes filled with Playmobil to excavate and find the parts in bulk necessary.
The visitors will be able to also admire scenes going of 2m ² to 50m ² presenting very different topics: The river without return (scene of the American Civil War), Astérix: Mission cléopatre, Star De luxe hotel, Indians, the last unicorn, Restaurant “El Serpiente Mitica”, the race of quads, Scene of the battle d' Austerlitz, Landscape d' Africa, Anubis Hotel, Fire in the street Victoria, Asian Landscape, Strong St Nicolas, a street in construction about 1900, Custom Alyzum; like 2 mini dioramas: forgiveness in Brittany and 1914 (scene of rejuissance).
All these dioramas will be carried out by the collectors themselves with their own material.

Believe it or not, I spent hours looking for the answer to your question via Google and Altavista search engines and could not find a single US Playmo exhibition past or present :o!!!!
This is just amazing as there are so many Playmo events in Europe, especially in France.
I keep looking as I am trying to be the fun Librarian of Playmofriends :lol:...

all the sets come from germany, so i guess geobra has something to do with it.

This exhibition, held in partnership with Playmobil Ibérica, may be dinosaurs, everyday scenes, princesses, Ark of Noah, Pirates, Romans, Egyptians, among others. The Playmobil is a toy of nice features, and versatile with a wide range of accessories that allows children not only develop their imagination but also to transpose the play, their daily experiences. A toy with 35 years of history that continues to entertain and teach childrens!

Hi,
There is a exposition going right now in the Mechelen Toy Museum in Belgium. It celebrates '35 years of Playmobil' and will be showing untill January 3 2010. I was in Luxemburg last weekend and it was a thrill, I went home with a very large Display from 1996. As soon as I put it up I will post some pictures.

I Thought the same thing when i saw the picture . There is the small kid who is stuffed on the side as well . He actually seems to scale of the larger ones. Now that would be one for the collection, and maybe the next collectors special edition book could make . A clear klicky stuffed with the magnet mini klickies.

Past Exhibition
By organizing last year in May in Mount-Saint-Éloi his annual gathering exhibition / sale of Playmobil, the association Générations Playmo created a true passion.
The popular success of the 2008 exhibition encouraged the organizers, of which Ludoplaymo, in love with the small figurine, originating in l' Arrageois, to propose a new exhibition in 2009.
The demonstration will this time not be called “national gathering” of the association Générations Playmo (as it will take place at the beginning of May in Vinay St Marcellin), but will take again the principal ingredients of them: namely ten spectacular dioramas resulting from private collections, putting in scene of Playmobil (a medieval city, pirates, a port, Egypt, Indians).
Twenty-five exhibitors are awaited, including those from Germany, Spain, who will do lot of mileage from Barcelona.

I have one question, If you look at the second to last picture right above the pirate ships flag there is what looks like a stone steck piece with white windows cut into them ?? What is that ?

CLICKANIA 2009 will last three days, from the 10 to 12 of October including, Monday being a bank holiday will be a plus.
The structure of the previous year will stay that supposed a success waited for by few and aspects will be gotten up that guarantee a greater satisfaction between the visitors.
As one became in the first edition, the City council of Montblanc has wanted to present/display the poster of Clickània, the Festival of Playmobil de Montblanc with more than four months of advance.
The poster, builds of the designer of Montblanc Xavier Iborra, follows the same line of the one of the past year.
Several clicks of Playmobil are combined with the silhouette of Montblanc.
The past year monuments of the town were seen and this year protagonism is for the old church of Sant Francesc, place of celebration of the festival.
Clickània 2009 is predicted that it lasts of three days, of the 10 to 12 of October, being useful that Monday will be festive.

In the measurement of the possibilities, the festival will be tried to adapt to its needs. Restaurants and commerce expressed their satisfaction by the impact of the event and this year is hoped to be able to reedit the success.
The City council of Montblanc organizes this event with the Tourism Office and counts on the participation of the SomosClicks association of collectors of Playmobil and the youthful association montblanquina Barjaula.
The presentation of the poster agrees with the creation of a group in Facebook to promote the festival of Playmobil de Montblanc.

the intensity of the displays is mind-boggling. as i have mentioned in other posts, those of us in the states, nothing even close to this, and if we did, for example, it is an 8hr +/- flight coast to coast.
