The lady in the bikini appears to have a new leg & body design. Very interesting to see a departure from the Playmobil standard of the last 35 years.
Oh My What are those monopods at the end???
-
Thank you for the previews!! I love then new format/mold for the pink fairy wings. And what a cool set with the assorted looks/outfits of the princess in green!
-
Many thanks, Tomplay, for the pictures. :wow: :wow: :wow:
The only item there which interests me is the firefighter duopack which is a good idea for those wanting to build up firecrew in the new uniform. However, the mix of helmet colours is a bit strange, one or the other I would have thought would have been better. The left hand figure appears to be holding a new style search line rather than the cowboy lasso of the firefighter Special.
The crystal sets look like another trip into non-traditional Playmobil territory, sad to say.

You're right, Martin. The bikini will have required this. There must be a new body interior. I wonder if the legs move independently? The body shape would allow it.

There is one DuoPack missing :-[

Thank you for showing us the coming attractions, Tomplay! The new 2 piece bathing suit female Klicky is very interesting for customizing! However, I am reluctant to say anything about the LEGO wanna bees crystal adventure series,....Oh, did I say the "L" word? Sorry :-[! OK! I don't like them, there you made me say it! However I do like the new large painted snake, that's a have to have, & I'm also interested in the new 6 wheeled amphibious vehicle for fire department custom purposes. And what's up with that new treaded tank looking, bazooka hook shooting vehicle, & the sonic jet engine powered water craft complete with a hook cannon mounted on the front, & rifles all over it, & a jet airplane, are we getting close to a first time future military theme, with futuristic weapons :hmm:?
-
mmm ... I guess you've already said it all, Bill. :(
I sure hope that the new look of the lady in bikini isn't the look of things to come. I don't like it.
As to the crystalhunters - I like the buildings; they should go well with the jungle theme but otherwise I am disappointed by them.
I do like the compact set of the beach though - it's wonderfull

Hmmmm, I'm not very impressed by any of the sets except the firemen. The take along sets don't look like Playmobil at all, nor do the crystal hunter guys. More like sets from Tranformers or G I Joe.
Though I must say, I may have a few klickys here trying to get the bikini lady's number... :-[

I like the giant reptiles in the Crystal Treasure sets. Nothing like giant lizards and snakes. Love 'em.
I also like the bikini Klicky although she would not go with any theme that I collect.
I don't understand the knights with wings. What kind of theme is that? It's not historical. Is it from some fantasy novel? Is Playmobil making up its own fantasy world? Whatever they are, I have no desire to collect them.

You can tell them it's 4695 ;D

I think it's meant to go with the Dragonland theme. Not quite Geobra's own - there were some sort of flying knights in Flash Gordon, if my mind serves me right.
Anyway - I quite like the klickies from that theme. Not historical - true - but great fantasy in my books!

Nice one, Mark!

I've got firefighters with their cell phones ready, Ben! She's going to be very popular ;)!

I've added them all to PlaymoDB (with Tom's pictures, until the official ones are published). Enjoy!
PlaymoDB List - New Sets Germany 2009-2010 (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/your_set_list.pl?setlist=4147,4148,4149,4338,4339,4340,4341,4342,4693,4694,4695,4696,4697,4698,4842,4843,4844,4845,4846,4847,4848,4849,4912,4913,4914;title=New%20Sets%20Germany%202009-2010)

Tom, thanks for the pics!
As others have written before me, there are a lot of interesting sets here, although the only one that interests me personally is the 4 in 1 knight, which looks pretty good.
-
If Playmobil are starting the sexy babes line, we may expect a more testosterone unduced Playmochap at least as hairy as Bill's patient a few months ago...
Karim ;)
PS : to Bill "with your next CSI scene in th books, it seems that Playmobil is spicing the things up" !!!
PS2 : to Sylvia "I promise to stop now before the eviction" :-[
-
Did you say 4695 is the reference number ???? :yup:
Do they make posters too ? :-[
Karim ;)

You can say that 4695 is her cell phone number, or set number, however you want to use it! She is however the first female klicky to show that much skin, which is even more than the X rated link magazine covers models picture, Karim!

The bikini girl is nice looking and she really deserves the name "special" as she is new in her appearance. To say it with the words of Shakespeare - the rest is silence. Except maybe the backdrop of the very uninspired count & countess set got me a little exited. Could this be a new fairytale castle.
-
Thanks for the pics,Tom! Great to see what's coming - even if next year's sets are still a long way away! and thanks, Heather, for posting them so quickly on PlaymoDB.

What a Gentleman you are :wow: !!!
I love your reference to Shakespeare :yup:!!!
Karim ;)

I think its very disappointing for the most part. I only like the policeman, firefighters, & the knight on horseback. I hope they get away from the fantasy themes.
-
Thanks for posting the pictures, Tom :yup:
Some look very interesting, and some are plumb
goofy
I think the Mom and stroller is neat, our new Granddaughter
scoots around in one just like that.
Best regards,
Jimbo

I like 4338 and 39
I need a new damsel
and that knight looks nice to me--
-
The iguana and lizard looking things are interesting.
Yet another different baby unicorn, but you notice there is a dragonfly in that set too? That's something totally new.
-
It's pathetic, I know. ::)
-
Haha! Nice picture
I like the Police Officer and the Firefighter duo.

I see what you mean - now that could be fantastic! Let's keep our fingers crossed then

My toy store assistant gave me today the new catalogue and I also was delighted about some new pieces.
Although the 4696 bikini special is discussed controverse here, I really like her, because customizing such a figure from the existing moulds wasn't satisfying at all (at least not for me).
Another highlight for me is to see that one of my custom moulds has found its way in a regular figure: the 4697 mom-with-baby-jogger-legs (short trousers with sneakers), just my socks are missing. So, Richard the avatar figure I made for you now can be realized with (painted) all orginal parts :) -- This would be a really versatile piece, because I used this mould also for the bicycle officers:

Well Little Jo, maybe we should be waiting for your catalog to come out! :D

 This actually would be an idea: making a catalogue of customized items and sceneries. -- But better not: a catalogue would mean these articles could be bought/sold. And I'm not sure if Playmobil would be very happy about this, referncing to the new customizing rules, especially the sentence "[...] thereby the economic interests of our enterprise remain protected". ;)

OK - this is off-topic- but hold my breath - why Lego?

Interesting! :yup:
Maybe this will inspire Playmobil to re-issue some of their medieval town sets, or even create some new ones (Steck only, of course!) :crossed:

Wow, that is gorgeous. Love the waterwheel, big tree and all the little things going on. I didn't even know Lego HAD cows (I've been away for a while). And the instructions and inventory are available online from lego.com (http://us.service.lego.com/en-US/BuildingInstructions/default.aspx) as well (bangs head on desk). Okay, customizers, can you replicate it (or better!), with all the lovely fancy parts in the Playmobil world?
-
You coudl take them to court, Jochen, for plagiarism.

Now that would be fantastic!
I would even settle for some non-Steck ones!

Thanks for the Pictures . The sets specials look to be great additions . I think the large mountain rock looks to be fulfilling the Indiana Jones nitch . I am not too sure about the army-ish tank and flaming jet boat with sinister looking hoodlums ??? . There are some great bits from every set that i will want to get but as a kids toy i see quite enough waring merchandise on the shelves. It sure would be ?? to have Playmobil stick to the educational game plan .

I agree, Jochen!
A Klicky with shorts and sneakers has many, many possibilities. Especially for the Playmobil toy soldier customizers ... :klickywink:
I also like Miss Bikini. It's about time we got a Klicky that we could customize by only "adding to" rather than also having to "take off" before we could "add to" ... I hope that a Mr. Olympic Swimmer is also in Playmobil's production plans for the same reason.
All the best,
Richard

I understand Lego also has a 'Frank Lloyd Wright' series with models of MOMA and Fallingwater!

OMG. :o How did I miss seeing this topic until now??!!
I must have been painting my bathroom the week it was first posted. :-[
I absolutely adore the bikini lady special! :woohoo: :inlove: Wow. I really didn't expect something as unusual as that. I can imagine so many excellent customizing possibilites! 8-)
The new body mold gives me hope that there will eventually be klickies in shorter skirts too! :crossed:
Thanks for the news and pics, Tomplay! :)

ROFL! that is priceless!
