???Hi to every one here. This is my very first post so I hope you'll all be gentle with me and forgive any mistakes I make, especially my spelling as I've seen you've all ready had a go at me for - all I can say is blame spell checker! Ha Ha. ;D
Um not sure what to say really so I might waffle a bit here.
I think I may of had Playmobil as I kid I remember the foot plates! But I really started collecting about five years ago. I've always loved miniature models and had started doing up a dolls house when I walked into a charity shop and found this amazing house.
Yes it was the Victorian Grand mansion.... and thats where it all started. I found the make on the bottom and went looking for furniture and I've not stopped scince.
It's gotton so bad I've a 6x8 shed in the garden full of it and some time I'll get around to putting up new shelves and doing some bigger displays.
I love the Victorian, Pirate and Palace sets, with some Jungle and Castle sets too. The only ones I'm not really into are the modern sets. The trouble is I keep wanting to extend the buildings I get.
Thanks to every one who liked my Museum I wish I had taken pictures of my original one it was made up of four houses and included a cafe, Arabian, knights, ACW, Dinos (before the new sets were released.) Bird and animal rooms and pirates, but I ran out of room and had to dismantle it.
Oh I mustn't forget to say a very big thank you to a man I have been an absolute fan of and I'm sure you must have seen his work that is MacGayver his stuff is the best and I so wish I could do things like his.
So hello and thanks for all your nice comments on my work, Emma.J

Very pleased to meet you Emma! Your work is absolutely fabulous! :wow:
I'm in Sacramento, California and have been collecting only since about last November. I like the themes of older periods like Romans and knights. I'm not a modern theme collector, either.
You should show more photos of your work. They are great!

Wonderful to have you here with us Emma! We have seen photos of your work and it is first rate, between you and Karim the Victorian range has come back with a bang and has many of us pining anew for that range. Hope to see more of your work and just chatting about things on the forum.

Hi all,
glad to be here, as I only joined late last night I havent gotten round to finding out how to post pictures and videos yet. ???
I've got some new stuff to share and I'm glad every one likes the Victorian items. With luck you'll all like the Fairy Palace I'm doing as well. Unfortuantely I seam to have lost my pics for my first Palace so there will be a bit of a delay before I can get the new one finished.
Hi Klickus Mobilius
I've got some of the Roman stuff as well and I love the Egyptian range, it's a pity theres not much for them yet. Do you have a Roman Villa? I've been looking at original Roman houses and I think its possible to build a Villa with an internal courtyard ect, and was wondering has anyone had a go yet? I havent got the spare parts at the moment to try, some thing for the future maybe. ::)

Hello Emma
Here is how I proceed with my vids and pictures postings :
1 / vids : easy peasy as I just copy and paste a link to a video : ie Youtube, etc.
2 / pictures : not difficult at all when you know the trick :
First go to http://www.imageshack.us/, select the upload image / video option, then the browse option to select the picture, making sure that you also select the resize image option for a 800 x 600 ( 15 inch monitor ) and click on start upload. Finally, you will just have to copy and paste the link into your message / posting.
Have fun and a fab week-end !!!

Unfortunately, I do not have a Roman villa. That would be nice. One thing I find lacking in the Roman theme is civilians. There are a lot of soldiers, but hardly any civilians. A villa would need civilians to live in it, not soldiers. Martin Milner has much more in the way of Romans than I do. Perhaps he has a villa.

At least we have the Roman family pack option which is not too bad.

Good evening all,
just checking in. I've managed to add another photo album which will have some of my earlier work in it. the first is the dead dolphin! I made this several years ago after being on MacGayver's web site :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow:
He made it look easy and yet totally brilliant I thought I'd have a go ::)
Oh my a lot lot harder than I thought but I did learn a few things like leave it to the Master
thought every one would like a laugh!
Nice to know every one liked the kitchen I shall have to do another when I get time.
I was thinking of doing another Museum but maybe slightly bigger whats peoples thoughts? Do you think it would do better a second time around?
I've also got a couple of question about custom work so I'll jump threads now.
Emma.
