Great photos and great customs, Michael.  Those headdresses are amazing, but you may have the Playmobil branch for the protection of wild birds on to you.    ;D

WOW !!!

These customs are awesome, indeed  :wow:  :wow:

Great work, MacGayver. Your customs are always something to behold; but these are definitly some of your best! I love the way you used parts of birds to create those headdresses.

These are wonderful customs, macgayver!  The conquistadors and scenery are very appealing, but it's the headdresses with their feathers and bird parts that impress me the most.

I like the ship in the background.

Where did you get the stands for the klickies so they don't fall over?

The stands were specially made by Playmobil for Wolfsburg 2009

Limited edition

Zilli , The Organisator from Wolfsburg made that happen and he divided the stands between the exposers

thanks for all compliments

The customs were a cooperation from Rapunzel and me

Glad we could supprise you again

all the best

I'm not a customizer, and I don't like the cutting parts, and all, but mate, I have to say something:

they LOOK REAL! :yup:

Good work, well done! :)

I noticed you used the old style Spanish helmet to the back troops ... you painted them, of course, because they were shining, not dull metal. That was interesting too.

Dear Playmofriend

I am very rarely in awe about something but I must admit that your displays and inspired creations around the "80 days around the world theme" are just out of this world  :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: !!!

Thank you soooo much for sharing these beauties with us !!!

Could you kindly take us through the process of planning and creating such marvels, the material involved - ie building of ships - the people involved in the project and their individual tasks and how long it took to finalize ?

If I may make a suggestion : could you possibly create a video of these amazing pictures for the world to enjoy  :yup:?

My first video has reached 4500 + views so far but I feel very humble and lost for words in such a demonstration of talent and the size and quality of your project :wow: !!!

Once again, THANK YOU for sharing them with us !!!

Karim ;)

Hi Karim

The people here at PMF were able to follow our preparations on the story

here ---> Wolfsburg preparations  (http://www.playmofriends.com/forum/index.php?topic=1899.0)

and on my website  preparations on my site (http://www.macgayverplaymobil.be/0000%2080%20round%20world/80%20days%20start.htm)

It took us about 18 months to prepare for this event

aprox 24 hours to build the whole setting with 7 people

120 walking meters setting

5 hours to take it down again

My father in law made a video of it but it is analog and I haven't had time to figure out how to put it on the net

thanks for your compliments and interest

There goes Karim who apparently missed a few trains and is trying to catch up...

So the Wofsburg exhibition is hold every year ?

Could you possibly add the links to your previous exhibitions as I could spend hours looking at them it details with a glass of Merlot or a cuppa - depending of the time of the day  :yup:?

Thank you so much for sharing your amazing works with us  :wow: :wow:!!!

I would say ,check out my site macgayverplaymobil (http://www.macgayverplaymobil.be/)

there are so many pictures you can get drunk every evening  ;)

as for Wolfsburg , that exhibition is held in Wolfsburg the city of Volkswagen ,Germany

It is an event organised by a couple , supported by their family and playmo lovers

it is the biggest playmo-event in Germany

There is no current date for next year yet
the location will be different too , as the congresspark where it was held  has become too expensive

as soon  I have more info I'll post it here on PMF anyway

If you try the search button for wolfsburg on PMF you'll find more info
as I kept playmofriends up to date regarding the event during the years
Also other members posted regarding Wolfsburg

So,

have fun and enjoy

all the best

Michael

Looking back I don't appear to have ever commented on this - and I should have. Fantastic work as always from Michael - some excellent use of stock parts for those Aztecs, especially the peacock tail for that headdress. The ships of course are also brilliant, but that is to be expected from perhaps the premier ship maker in all Playmocollectorland.
