Very impressive and a clever use of the Roman helmets. Where do the cuirasses come from?

Hello, Seawarrior ...
I agree with Gordon !!! And, I think that the cuirasses for your French Cavalry also come from the Roman theme. Correct?

Hi seawarrior, I've just noticed the title of this thread - Calvary rather than Cavalry. You got your letters typed in the wrong order, but strangely enough there is an eye witness account from a private in the British infantry of how they were in a "square" to repel attacks by the French cavalry and his comrade next to him said at each French charge "Tom, the calvary are coming!". In one of the charges the soldier was killed.

You and I might make a great "team," Gordon ... ;)
BTW. Gordon ... as I'm sure that you already know, "Calvary" is where Jesus was crucified.
All the best old friend,
Richard

I do indeed, which to me made that incident at Waterloo all the more poignant.
And can someone please assure me that the title of the thread has been changed and that I hadn't misread it before?
-
i changed it when you mentioned it :shhhh:
