Hi Everyone  !!!
I hope that you are all well.
I have been so madly busy at work that I have just started setting up the three Victorian sets of my next Ebay auctions.
I have prepared and thought every auction as an exceptional one down to the smallest detail and the result should be quite interesting ( set to include exquisite accessories, curtains, flooring and working lights )
I am in the process of taking the pictures but I wanted to share with you, dear Playmofriends, the very first pictures of the first auction called "Baking Time at the Mansion"...
The whole set of pictures to follow later on...
Karim :)

Beautiful Karim,
I would say you deserve 2 glasses of Merlot for your efforts! I am curious how much space you have to set these items up to light and photograph, do you have to break down each vignette after taking pictures or can everything stay up until they are packed up to be shipped to some happy soul? I wish you the best of success with your sale and thank you for giving us a sneak peek.

Hello Gepetto
Thank you for for your comments !!!
All my victorian sets are carefully prepared, set up and photographed in one of my mansions and on the day of shipping, all I need to do is to wrap up all the items in individual bags, then in bubble wrap and finally in colour matching tissue paper.
It is vital for highly detailed sets like mine with many accessories to be very organized - at least I try to be.
Yes, definitely a second glass of Merlot...
To your good health Gepetto !!!

Hello Gepetto
Just a thought : I should have put two bags of flour / sugar against the right handside wall in the kitchen and some copper ustensiles under the sink by the right handside window with eggs on a scale...
The auctions are now live but should it still be possible to re-shoot the this part of the set, I would...
Have a nice week !!!
Karim ;)

Hi everyone
Next sets should be this Autumn with a sumptuous Masked Ball and a Jam Making day in the kitchen with an autumnal flavour : grapes, pumpkins, etc.
Should you have any suggestions of a theme, please do convey them to me by all means.
Thank you
Karim ;)

Copper pots are always nice but we don't usually weigh eggs, eggs in a bowl would be good.

Hello Gepetto
There are eggs in a blue bowl on the scale, but I thought that a couple of copper ustensiles stored underneath would have added to the authenticity :yup:.
Sorry for misexplaining myself as I must I thought in French rather than in Shakespeare's language :-[.

And my mischievous cat still has the final word whem it comes to quality control    !!!

Hi Everyone
I am so glad that my customized Victorian Theme Sets are genuinely welcomed here at Playmofriends and as I only specialize in one Theme, I really enjoy posting links to multi Playmobil Themes for you to enjoy as I remember that I am part of a community with a large spectrum of interests...
I cannot tell you how much I enjoy planning a new Victorian Set in its smallest detail, work on the setting, lighting, select the right picture after hundreds of pix taken, and finally check my auctions on Ebay : the number of hits, questions, etc.
My previous auction called "Easter Sunday at the Mansion" recorded 522 hits at its finale and an additional 69 hits afterwards as it seems that people would check once the auction was done...
Let's see what interest my current 3 auctions will bring but judging by the number of hits, "Summer has arrived at the Mansion" definitely takes the lead !!!
Karim ;)

Here is the introduction to my 3 Victorian sets as after all, we are in the Story Telling section :yup:...
Summer has arrived at the Mansion.
Since the first ice cream factory was created a few decades ago in Baltimore USA, ice cream has been the delight of Victorian Society ever since
That is until a certain Reverend John Scott in New York City decided to serve a strange dessert to his Crowd after the Sunday service : he simply called it Ice Cream Sundae.
Needless to say that it only took a first class crossing on the latest Cunard Steamer to bring the novelty to London and this afternoon in Hyde Park, the Astors, Rothschilds and Rockefellers all dressed in the latest fashion with matching jewelled feathered fans are all gathering under the pale green silk swag curtains of the Summer Room to indulge in the most scrumptious selection of ice creams ever seen.
Such an event will surely be featured in the next issue of the Delineator in London, Cosmopolitan in New York and La Gazette du Bon Ton in Paris.
Another success for the Lady of the House !!!
Baking Time at the Mansion.
Can you smell the freshly baked cherry pie just out of the oven ?
Only a few hours until our prestigious Guests arrive at the Mansion and there is still so much to do in the Kitchen this afternoon...
While the Cook is baking pies and cakes, one Maid is preparing chocolate cookies, another one has a tray of delicious tarts ready for baking, the young Helper is beating the eggs and look at that scrumptious strawberry cake on its stand !!!
The Upper Crust of Hyde Park is in for a real treat this afternoon and there is no doubt that the success of the Summer High Tea at the Mansion will be featured in the best Society magazines and it all started here, in the Kitchen...
Pampering Time at the Mansion.
What a wonderful day this has been !!!
The Young Master's birthday is tomorrow and his Grandmother has taken him to the most famous toy shop of the Victorian era : Hamley's on Regent St.
What fun it was to run from teddy bears to toy soldiers and miniature trains, especially when Gran'ma is playing along !!!
After a well deserved cup of tea and cream cakes at the Ritz, it is time to head back to the Mansion where the faithful Maid will put the many bags of presents away until tomorrow.
The Mansion bathroom's features all the novelties including a bath tub and hot water and after such a busy day it is so nice to pamper ourselves in luxury.
No doubt the Young Master will find it hard to sleep tonight as after all, the birthday party will have all his friends gathering at the Mansion and all these new toys to play with. But he will just have to wait...until tomorrow...
Karim ;)
