Title: Direct service refuses hair order.
Post by: Janice on April 14, 2009, 17:14:32
Hi everyone,

Just tried to place an order yesterday for various parts plus hair and was told that you could no longer order hair...you have to buy the kliky to get hair.   I figure they must be trying to stop refurbishing of used parts.

That's not good. :(

I wonder if it is only the US division that are refusing to allow hair orders...

That's not good. I see lots of klickies on eBay with no hair - if we're not allowed to order new hair, then they're useless.

Moreover, I like to personalise my klickies so that in a unit of 8 or 10 knights each one is a little different, and a change of hair is the quickest way.

I do have a box of old wigs that I've taken off unwanted or damaged klickies, but about 50% of them are the standard spiky brown, and about another 20%  spiky black.

I've never tried to order individual Klicky wigs from US DS in the past, but from what I have heard about Playmobil trying to crack down on eBay parts vender's, this may be the first of many privileges to go  :'(!

That's unfortunate to hear.  I guess I made out like a bandit being able to order 15 hair pieces a couple months ago.  Of course I wanted 200!

In my house if they are male i just have them as "older bald men". Doesnt look too good on the lady playmobils though unless they are nuns!

I asked the same question one week ago, here in Belgium. They answered that you can still do that, don't know if they do it for foreign countries. It's only standard "wigs" that you can order and they cost 0,20 € a piece. If you want I'll let you know, when i receive mine. I saw on EBay, that there was a big lot of hair, beards ... but i don't know if it is still on it, because I ordered allready by mail with the special form, so I wasn't interested at first. Just let me know, when i get back on this.

There are a number of auctions on ebay that are just hair:  190354150961, 190354150063.  The auctions start at $1.65 so if you bid and no one bids against you I think it's actually cheaper than ordering through DS - if you don't include shipping of course!
