Title: New US eggs

 I do not seem to remember any body mentioning the new US eggs. We did get the large European egg preview but i doubt those will make it to the US market .

There is the Pirate but i think it has already been done

they are already on-line in the playmobil.us site.
i had an idea (from reading about it in playclicks, i think) that these eggs would also be available in the european markets - the larger ones were to be a german exclusive.  ???

We don't get the Eggs in the UK. I like the knight's shield, but otherwise he's uninspiring.

I've been touring Normandy for the last week week and picked up a few Knight eggs, one boy with cart, and a couple of the Pirate in the red egg (not shown above). The eggs have printing of the contents on the top half, which reduces their usefulness for repeated use. I'd rather have plain eggs. 

I got nine knights to make a unit (at 3.70 Euro apiece), but I'm not especially fond of this old style of helmet - does anyone like it? It requires 5 parts to be complete, and to me looks too big for this figure. If he had other armour attachments it might be better balanced. I intend to replace these helmets with simpler one piece conical or brimmed helmets. The leg printing looks OK, but does reduce the possibilities for customisation.

The Pirate is a nice figure, incuding a parrot with handheld perch, flag and pole, and the older style of cutlass in gold.

I like those helmets for an Eastern look once the visor is removed. If you don't want them I will gladly trade for them.

I tried to order the knight twice from Playmobil USA and they were out both times.

I agree.  I think the knight looks ludicrous.  The fleur-de-lis design on the shield is nice, but the feathers sticking up vertically from the helmet look silly.  This knight would not inspire fear or respect.  Just another silly k-nnnniget.
