Hello Everyone,
As a side story to the ongoing PCFD project i thought i would share Bill's visit to Fire Service Workshops to meet me. It was only fair that i thanked him in person for the Snow Cat and besides he had something to deliver while he was here. Everyone seemed a Bit sheepish about the visit, including Ted who is waiting in the truck outside. What on earth could be the problem ?
Bill comes in through the door pushing a trolly with the old fire hydrant precariously ballanced on top.

An odd charecter is buisy sweeping up in the workshop while the sound of loud music and drilling fills the air.
As Bill pushes the fire hydrant through the door there is a loud crash as the trolly goes over the runner.

Aaaaahhhh aaahhhhh you got me shouts the man as he jumps up into the air and drops the broom.

What a strange guy thinks Bill, but prehaps its Tim. I will have to watch what i say just incase.
Ohhhh you got me there mate, i thought you were one of those Dalek things out of Dr Who. Bill decides to play it safe and announce that he is here to see Tim. Ohh your from America, you might not know who Dr Who is.
Tim is over there making all that noise, i am going for a cup of tea.

Just over by the work benches is Tim happily working away on one of his latest projects. He appears to be the only other person in this large workshop full of strange objects and tools.
The radio is on quite loud and there is a steaming mug of tea close to hand.
The radio is quite loud and the noise of drilling is even louder. Tim has a pair of ear defenders on and seems to be in a world of his own. Bill decides to carefully attract Tim's attention, he has allready made one person jump. HELLO TIM...
Tim turns around. Its allmost as if he knew Bill was standing there. HELLO BILL...
The noise level is drastically reduced as Tim stops drilling. Nice to meet you Bill thank you very much for the Snow Cat and all the other items you have sent. I think you can see by looking around they are coming in handy.

Where has Larry gone ? Don't tell me he did his usuall trick again . That's why no one likes coming here unless they have to . That and the fact that the girl on reception runs the place like its Fort Knox.

I wondered why Ted decided he was going to stop in the truck . I have brought that fire hydrant for you Tim. I wonder if you will be able to turn it into a jack for me?
What, like these you mean Bill ? That shouldn't be a problem.
As you can probably see by all the stuff scattered around the workshop i have been working on a few other things for you over the last month. There are also a few prototype projects under way that are going to be tested by the men at the training centre.

I have also been fixing the rear doors on station 23's Rescue Tender. It has been in need of modifying for some time. Then we have the Snow Cat, which is currently being turned into a brush fire fighting unit. Thank you for sending it over for us Bill, its going to prove very usefull indeed.

Kindest Regards Tim

Hi Tim !
I'm very familiar with the Dr. Who tv series, from watching BBC/America :yup:. I can't wait to see the photos in this story!
-
That's a wonderful setup of s workshop you have there, Tim, and the Tim figure looks just like you, too! Excellent.
-
Hello Bill :),
Thank you for the kind reply. I hope it makes a bit more sense with the pictures  I got called to dinner half way through and had to stop ;D I will PM you a little later on Bill ;)
Tim
Hello Gordon :),
Thank you very much indeed for the kind reply and the compliment regarding the klickie :-[. I have often been stumped when it came to making an avatar because any klickie with fair hair looks like me and i didnt think it would be that special . Having discussed it with Bill i came up with the idea of adding the red mechanics overalls and some plastic safety glasses like you see before you in my new avatar.
Tim

Another FANTASTIC story :wow:! The work shop is excellent, along with the attention to detail regarding the rechargeable drill, safety glasses, Larry, floor debris, radio, & so many other items to mention :yup:! The photo story bar keeps getting raised! Your avatar looks great, & from what Playmofire says is a spot on resemblance of your self! It's great to finally get to meet you!
-
Hi Tim !
I like the new avatar you have decided to use on your personal page :yup:! As you say it's "spot on" :)9!
-
Ah, a workshop story! I like it! Great setup, great story, and great pictures! :D
-
Hello Bill :),
Thank you for the compliments on my story. I made this a few days ago before we discussed the avatar's properly. I will reply to your PM when i get a little more time but i think your idea using the wizards workshop sounds great. I am tidying up my room again and there is Playmobil all over the place at the moment so my own real workshop is inaccessible. Its quite frustrating because i have things that need i need to be doing aswell 8}. Hopefully by tomorrow things will be back to normal.
Tim
Hello Little Jo,
Thank you for the kind reply :). The workshop is a work in progress at the moment and i have a few ideas up my sleeve. I would like to make it a permanent feature as i have found it acts as a motivational peice. The only trouble is i am limited by the space it will be able to take up.

Hi Tim ! I'll let you know when I receive the workshop! From what I could see in the listing, it is 100% complete! I may just have to let you have complete access to my PCFD work shop ;D, when you come to the USA with your crews ;)! I may need quite a bit of assistance on some projects while you're here! I look forward to the next episodes! BTW I'm going to send you some pictures of the interior of my PCFD fire stations I'm designing so you can give me your opinion for the photo stories when your crews arrive here!

Hello Bill :),
Excellent idea :wow:. I would love to see your workshop's and as a good will gesture i would be more than happy to help with any projects you have. I will also have a look at your fire station pictures but i am sure they look great :wow:! I cant wait to see the wizards workshop, if its complete you have a nice set in its own right.
I will endeavour to give you a break down of the incidents your men have been attending by the end of the week. Hopefully i will have a selection of pictures from the more interesting incidents. I also intend to finish off the photo story with Axe. Once that is complete your men will start the advanced extrication classes at our training school. Finally with that all out the way the men should be ready to return home along with me and some of my men. Not forgetting two crate loads of specialist equipment ;).

Hi Tim !
Everything sounds excellent! I keep looking forward to your continued photo story episode's :yup:! PCFD is truly honored to have your men, & especially yourself coming to visit for the training classes, & to make emergency calls with the PCFD :yippee:! BTW I'm really looking forward to receiving the rescue tools :woohoo:!
Best Wishes,
Bill

Yes I also figured out that a permanent workshop is quite usefull. That's also the reason why my -- quite smaller than your's -- workshop is always setup ... and because I myself spend quite some time in my real live workshop I think this fits quite well

WONDERFUL PICTURES! The kind of quality I wish to reach ... :yup:
& The humour's very well applied, as well!
Thanks, Tim, it's delightful!

Around here any story with a workshop in it is bound to be a hit! :yup: But the story is first rate Tim and again you really capture the feel of the shop with your excellent photos! At the rate these stories are progressing technically I expect to be watching movies by the end of next year!

Hello Bill :),
I am really looking forward to visiting your fire department. I cant wait to see what you have planned. I really like the pictures you sent me Bill, they are great. As i said in my last post i will have to PM you later to discuss them with you. Then you can tell me how you made the pump simulator and what stickers you used :wow: ;)
Happy New Year Tim
Hello Little Jo :),
I am glad to see that i am not the only one who does this :). I tend to find having the workshop motivates me to finish my real projects but its hard to put into words why ;D.
Happy New Year Tim
Hello Gus :),
Thank you very much for your kind feedback. Including humor into story's is quite a hard thing to do, so i am pleased to see that it has worked. It is nice to know that other people actually get what i am trying to put across :). I think the klicky's permanent smile helps a great deal in this case. The only trouble is they usually smile when you don't want them to  ;D.
Heppy New Year Tim
Hello Gepetto :),
Thank you very much indeed for the kind reply. I have allways been fascinated with making a Playmobil workshop. I am going to try a few ideas out over the next few months and maybe develope it even further. I would like to model the area where i work on my vehicles but that would mean a trip to my local DIY store for some wood ;)
Happy New Year Tim
