And the us has a new pick of the month. It is only 20% off and not the normal 25% but at $39.99 it is an ok deal, not great. The $49.99 regular price seems to high

Is it stecks  ??? OK i just checked on Heaters site and it is . Not a bad set really

Kind of reminds me of the retired wizards workshop the way the tower is dismantled  :-\!

Boom!  It's gone!

I waited overnight until my wife was off the PC--

Sold out!

Man, I thought it would last at least until the morning.

Oh bummer Tim! Keep looking, they may restock.

That's a really weird set to come out with now, steck castle parts, old style horses etc. Do you think they found a bunch at the back of the warehouse?

Sure sounds like it, Martin ... 8}

Timmy, my guess is that some eBay seller snapped them up for resale ... :(

 That's just what I've been thinking!  The 3030 set has been for sale at BJ's Wholesale Club (similar to Costco) in the Boston area for a few months now at a price of $49.99.  I did not post this info before because I think the price is too high, especially considering that BJ's was selling this exact same set several years ago for either 29.99 or 39.99.   Maybe they will mark it down soon - I will try to monitor the situation for anyone who is interested - just let me know.   :)

But they never let you buy more than 9 of anything, that would be a cheap monthly special if they had so few.

I'm a little cheesed by it.  Maybe they'll list something else.
Worse, I had it in my shopping cart at 6PM on Mon, decided I ought to think it over (spent sizeable amount in Nov) but by 5AM Tue--gone!

Mr. Timotheos, sir, my guess is that some eBay seller snapped them up for resale ... :(

We ought to as a group boycott ebay...  I haven't bought anything from ebay in a year, but still find myself flooded with new PM every month.

It's just... those auctions... they're so prone to fraud and the shipping (so my uncle, a successful vendor, tells me) is where they recoup their profit even if the bid goes low...

The 3030 set has been for sale at BJ's Wholesale Club (similar to Costco) in the Boston area for a few months now

Heh, "BJ's" is a bad name for a discount store... "How low can you go?  We're prepared to go down on our prices until you agree we give the best deals in town."

Timmy ... You are indeed a clever fellow (with an interesting sense of humour) ... :klickywink:

I saw this set on Monday December 1st and considered buying it, but I thought I'd wait and think about it a little more.  (I REALLY want the Eagle knight klicky, his shield, and his flag and I'm not sure if Direct Service has them, but I have little use for the rest of the set's pieces, thus my dilemma.)  Now I guess Playmobil's limited stock has made my decision easy.  >:(  It's pretty bad when the pick of the month sells out in one day.

Justindo,

I have ordered the 3030 set and this knight has no special significance to me, so if you want it let me know and arrangements can be made.

Looks like we got lucky afterall.

I saw the same newsletter in my inbox that Richard reported.

My chagrin ranneth over, until I decided "maybe PM is trying to tell me something."

I ordered just the 3030, though, because in case lightning strikes twice, I don't want to be stuck with a bunch of peripheral items I ordered only to get the free shipping!

*Actually, I think PM still honors the free shipping if their botch drops you under.  But, I'm already over-spent and don't want to be the guy who finds out...

Gepetto, that's very kind of you!  If I'm unable to get the knight I'll let you know.  Thank you.

Looks like my ploy cost me a needless $6 in shipping... my package is on its way, or at least the crummy keychain (with a rain check) is.

Speaking key chains...

PM USA doesn't do a great job of rewarding repeat customers, does it?   ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ???

Well, at least the keychains beat those "Playmobil Rummy" cards of 2006 (5 packs I have) or the fat-cannon of late 2007.  I mean, these are supposed incentivize, not bemuse!
