Title: Scored some great Castle Steck on Ebay!
Post by: starhorse on August 18, 2008, 16:12:04
*I was debating if this would be an appropriate place for this or not.  Hopefully it's ok, if not please move it where ever it would work best. *

Well I finally scored some more Castle Steck sets off Ebay.  I really don't have many of these pieces so this is very exciting to me.  So I thought I'd share what I got and maybe you can share in the excitement with me ;)

I don't have any of the sets on hand yet, but hopefully they'll arrive within the next week.  Here's what I picked up:

3665 Baron's Battle Tower (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=3665)

3667 Small Castle (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=3667)

And a very nice lot of Steck Castle Parts (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=230280288281&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=013)

If you enjoyed the photos of my Blacksmith's Shop, then just wait until I get these on hand.  I'm sure I'll be able to come up with something fun.  And more importantly my wife will be able to take some excellent photos of whatever I create.

Some great buys there, starhorse.  Well done, and I look forward to seeing your creations with them.

Hi Starhorse,

Steck is definietly a collector issue, so here is fine - shopping and autions would have done as well, but this is better if you're going to post some pictures here when you get the sets.

I've avoided buying steck because I know once I start I'd be on a slippery slope to financial ruin and imprisonment. I console myself that I'm leaving more on the market for you guys.

Congrats . . .

I also recently bought my first couple of steck castles on ebay.  I, too got a  3677 and most of a 3666.  The 3666 was really cheap - $15 and all it was missing was the floor joints and a couple of window inserts, oh and all of the accessories.

I really like the old steck castles, but I can't seem to find any of the older people without spending a billion dollars (you are a wise man, Martin).  So far, the castles themselves have been far cheaper than auctions with the figures I want(any women with pointy hats).  Did people just throw out the klickies when they boxed up the castles?
