any one got a ds number for those amazing long swords?

It should be available from DS as it's currently in use with the Skull-set.

Interestingly, the US-Version is made in Germany (or some place in europe), while the german version is made in CHINA.  :hmm:

I heard that the material makes it easy to distinguish both...  :-\

oh man, my new order list is so big allready, even i didnt received the first yet.. soon i run out of money.. cant be long anymore.. as iam a poor student who earns his money with playing squash .. lol

Is the US one the 30 xx xxxx or the 40 xx xxxx one ?

Is that the first part # to start with a 40 ?

The "40" numbers are very new, and appear in German sets, or instructions I've received from German owners.  I've only seen ~40 parts like it so far.  They seem to follow normal numbering conventions; in some cases, if there exists a part numbered with 30 replacing the 40, it's the same part, like the swords above, but not always.

Interesting about the quality difference!  I'd be glad to hear about any DS orders that include "40" parts, and if the quality issue is present in others as well.

The US one starts with "30 xx xxxx".
We think that in fact the "40 xx xxxx" numbers are an indicator for imported parts from china.
You know, keep the US-instructions "40 xx xxxx" number free and drive a campaign of guaranteed china-free toys... ;)

Too bad if they pay off the european sets for that...  :-\
