Title: Dreaming of French wigs!
Post by: Janice on March 12, 2008, 16:53:09
How can we convince Playmobil to make a line of French wigs Marie Antoinette style??  My royal klickies would love to get all dressed up in powdered wigs.  I could even see a little round eyed klickie with a mole patch under her eye, a black neckband ribbon and wide pannier skirts.  The plunging neckline and high collars could even be achieved.  They have all ready made so much that would go with this theme.  If they would just expand just a little further.  I would think that the European market would eat this up. There could even be wigs for the servants and of course for the courteasans.  Oh, I dream on...knee ribbons and shoe buckles.

Ooh, nice idea! The 7676 English Redcoat captain wears what is supposed to be a wig, I think, in that his hair is white (or off white), but it would look better with a bit more obviously wig-like shaping & style.

I think the best thing is to do a mock up of how it might look and show it around as many places as possible. Maybe some of the expert resin/ customising people here could produce one?

This also leads me onto thinking, who in the modern world is known for wearing white wigs? Judges and Barristers!

We need wigs so we can have a Playmobil court!

I asked Playmobil once for the court of Emperor Franz Josef, of Austria, with their wals rooms...

There's an avatar over on klickywelt.de with a wig you should see... I don't know how he made it, but it's worth a look.

I love the idea of a Playmobil court, French, legal or otherwise, and if we'd just get the long-awaited kilts as well, we fans of Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series could pull together some scenes... beyond awesome.

These wigs (http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/whoami.pl?hair_style=small+ponytail&hair_colour=white) will have to do for now - quite suitable for higher-class working men and servants.

;) there are other sets with wigs.
the 7587 ds marines and the 3110 admiral (the same as the ds 7666).
the small naval fortresses 3112 and 5727 both have marines with wigs.
the same with the red-coat officer in the 3795 set.
the 3111 and 3113 sets also have "wigged" klickies.
:yup: wigs are great, form the point of view of a napoleonic era pirates' fan.

That is awesome! I'd love to know how it was made.
(I've attached the image to this post so non-members of klickywelt can see it more easily.)

Oooh, yes! I'm sure kilted klickies would sell extremely well if Playmobil ever get around to creating a shorter skirt mold.
I recently picked up "Cross Stitch" (UK title for Outlander) in a secondhand bookshop. Looking forward to reading it. :)

:confetti: OOOh! This is great.  Now if we could convince playmobil to follow suit and create some that are piled high on the head...even some flowers or butterflies not to mention the bird in the cage- Ha Ha.  I wonder if this fellow would share his talent and tell us how to do it?

Thanks for showing us this wig.
