Post by: Rasputin on March 05, 2008, 00:01:06
Here is a little sceen i came home to . My 7 year old said that robin hood needed to get away so he set fire to the oil tankers  :o. I guess the SWAT team will be looking for him now (http://img181.imageshack.us/img181/4474/trainfireqt2.jpg) (http://img181.imageshack.us/img181/5115/trainfire2rt3.jpg)

Nice bit of open-ended thinking by your youngster, and a nicely set out scene, too.  Lots of detail and lots of excitement in it.  Well done to him and thanks for sharing with us.   :)

It finally dawned on me where he got the idea from. Recently i had a controlled burn on a overgrown oak forested 5 acre property . I was hired to restore the land to its native state and to allow the predatory habitat reestablish itself . On the project we had some enormous burns and my wife brought the kids by to enjoy some of the week long burning . I had forgotten all about it and then when i looked at this picture it all came together . Of course he did embellish the details, he could have chosen to burn the forest in the foreground but i guess the oil tankers have a better effect.

Fire sure is a useful tool on many levels . ;D

The distraction must have worked well - I can't spot Robin anywhere!

Great lively set up - I hope they got those fires under control in the end.

Great scene, thanks for sharing it with us. It's a good thing the fire didn't move on to the tires, the smoke would have been really bad.
