What can i say that you all do not already know about this set . I just purchased one at a more reasonable price . I seem to forget about this form of stecks. I always associate stecks with the castles and when i come across one of these old sets i am reminded how great they are . It has such a classic look and is such a clean finished product. Even though it is missing some parts :'( i still can admire its beauty. I assembled it listening to Muddy Waters , Lonesome Day :P and it was just perfect. What a great innocent pleasure i have found 0)

This is one of my favorite sets. In fact, I like them so much, I have 3 of them :) - all incomplete - I haven't tried to get out all 3 at the same time and make a complete set, plus it just makes the others more incomplete.
I'm in the process of trying to finish up some projects, so I can get three 8x4 sheets of plywood to use as tables and build a western town with train. I figured I'd be ready for this about now, but I'm still at least 2 months away. And pictures will be presented when that day finally occurs.
But here's a picture of my "nearly colorado springs station" back before I was able to obtain one. Missing front porch and railing and telephone pole at top. And green rather than blue trim.

It is a wonderfull building. Even thoough I am not into the Western sets; I allways have had a soft spot for this one and the Western church/school ...
I am glad you both found a good one.
