That's a really nice set. Specially to go with the Dolphin show that's already available.

I'm fond of dolphins, though I'm not usually into sealife sets.

Seeing this reminds me of the day that my wife and I swam with dolphins during our honeymoon on the Florida Keys, just about two years ago today! Beautiful creatures, but the water was pretty cold!

Thanks, Andi and Tim ...

I'm going to have to look for this set when I return to the mainland!

Hello, Martin ...

We have lots of Bottlenose Dolphin (Porpoise) here in the Virgin Islands. And, it is indeed a wonderful experience to be able to swim with these intelligent, fun-loving creatures!

Cold water? ... In the Florida Keys?  That's almost unheard of!

What time of the year was it? Our Florida ocean water is almost always in the high 70sF to 80sF. (Sorry ... I was beginning to sound a bit like the local tourist agency.) It just surprised me to read your report about "cold" water in the Florida Keys.

All the best,
Richard

Super, thanks to Andi and Tim!  I've added it, under Zoo since that seems a good place for it.

Those rockies seem to be in a new colour, how nice!  And a whitecoat baby seal... mmm.

My local store doesn't have it yet so I think I am going to mail order one. They are $14.99 at toys r us online. I do think the rocks are a different color, but keep in mind how far off in color Playmo pictures can be from the real thing.

Let me see, two years ago today would be... I guess 7th February  >:D

We got married on 2nd February, so our UK and US relations would have no trouble with the date. We spent another day in Miami Beach getting our wedding papers sorted, then drove down to the Keys, had the weekend there, then drove back up, stopping at Grassy Key on the way.

We were lucky, because a big hurricane had messed up a lot of the area only a few months before, and the dolphin sanctuary was still in recovery mode. We had to miss our visit to the Everglades, because the hotel we'd booked to stay at wasn't there anymore.

I swam off Miami Beach on the morning of the wedding, but where the dolphins were felt colder. The Americans in our party, especially the Floridians, don't usually swim that time of year.

Oh my gosh, Martin the photo of your wife brings back a long forgotten memory.  When I was a 'child bride' I went to Queensland on my honeymoon, we visited the very small 'pet dolphin pool', closed many many years ago to make way for the New Sea World, I was the lucky one chosen in the show to fall into the pool (while all the honey mooners were lined up to feed the dolphins!)  The trick was: the audience was lead to believe the dolphin wanted my HUGE ring and pulled me in!  The audience went wild,,, was super fun, however I forgot it would be salt water and almost drowned when I took a mouthful!!!  I have a super old black and white of me mid air with the dolphin upright, must find it for my grand son. Thanks for the memory. SQ

Hello, Suzi ...

I have a super old black and white of me mid air with the dolphin upright, must find it for my grand son.

I think that most of us here would also love to see your "old black and white" when you find it.

It's photos like yours and Martin's that help to bring our Playmobil to "life" ...

All the best,
Richard

No problems Richard, will hunt it down, could take a bit of time to locate though. It was such a fun day!  I might make a Playmo scene to go with the photo LOL. SQ
