Granted, he had to do some surgery here and there, but for those of us with doubts about System X castles, my doubts have gone!  System X is OK!

Some surgery? I think that Schokoman performed "major" surgery to create his System-X custom castle! He is definitely a skilled craftsman and customizer!

I also like his animated graphics ... ;)
(which works really great the second time or so ... after it has fully downloaded)

Thanks for the link, Tim!

All the best,
Richard

BTW ... Do y'all remember the fantastic Chateau de Loire en Miniature (http://www.playmofriends.com/forum/index.php?topic=562.0) that Michael (mi-chi) created back in February of 2006?

SystemX (in the right hands) seems to have a lot of possibilities.

His castle is very nice.   :)9

I remain curious about Playmobil's theory behind the Marchenschloss theme.  It seems they mix-and-matched 17th century Muslem architecture with 18th century French costume and 19th century avante-garde furniture.

We have heard from reliable sources that it was originally supposed to be an Arabian Nights theme ...

Thanks Richard!

Maybe they will have a change of heart and return to the Arabian knights theme.

Off subject:

Alladin in the actual Arabian Knights text is Chinese!  I think Disney, though, has permanently won him a North Indian Moghul green card.

Sinbad is an Iraqi merchant from Basra, though my permanent impression of him is of a shirtless freebooter thanks to those 1960s movies of Ray Harryhausen.

Hello, Tim ...

Thanks Richard!

Maybe they will have a change of heart and return to the Arabian knights theme.

It IS interesting how the movies/films and books have shaped our impressions and ideas of how things should be (rather than as they really are ... or, were)! ...   ::)

Thanks for the info and all the best,
Richard
