Title: DC Kinder Playmobil in the UK
Post by: tiger1983uk on September 04, 2025, 15:12:59
Hello
The Kinder Surprise Eggs with the tiny Playmobil Superheroes are available in the UK.
I found them in my local Tesco, you can get them singularly or in packs of 3, but be careful I haven't bought many(yet), but have found the duplicate rate very high and still haven't found Superman!

Are these full size and fully  jointed?

Incredible!  I hope they make it out to the USA too.

There's 2 different sizes

The large / adult size ones I haven't seen in person yet, so I can't give info on them, but i believe there's only 4 klickys - Superman Batman, Flash & Wonder Woman.  I believe they come in larger eggs.

The 16 klickys are small / kid size & they consist of:
Batman
Robin
The Joker
Harley Quinn*
The Riddler
Batgirl*
Catwoman
Aquaman*
Mera
Black Adam
The Flash
Green Lantern
Wonder Woman
Cyborg
Superman
Supergirl*

The smaller / kid size have articulated points at the neck & arms, but not the waist - they come in 2 parts (to fit in the plastic egg that is inside the chocolate egg) - the head & upper torso is one part, the other part is below the waist & legs & it snaps into place.

I've only got 4 so far (* are the ones i got), someone picked some up for me from Sainsbury's & I got a box of 3, & an individual egg. My local Tesco is only a small branch & they haven't had any yet.

This might explain the lack of female torsos on the female figures.

Yup!

I got some more today, but ended up with a lot of duplicates.
In total I've bought 25 - 4 boxes (3 eggs in each) - they were £2.80 each, & 13 individual (£1.25 each, 90p with Nectar card) & I've got:

6 x Aquaman
5 x Black Adam
4 x Harley Quinn
3 x Batgirl
2 x Flash
2 x Supergirl
1 x Batman
1 x Catwoman
1 x Cyborg

Not sure if this is representitive of the ones that are more common, or if i was just unlucky ending up with so many Aquaman & Black Adams.  :-\

(didn't get Joker, Riddler, Robin, Mera, Wonder Woman, Superman & Green Lantern).

I feel like I had less variation from the boxes of 3.  Out of the 12 in these I only got 7 characters - 4 Aquaman, 3 Black Adam, 2 Supergirl,, 1 Flash, 1 Harley, 1 Batgirl

With the individual figures (13) I got 8 characters - 3 x Harley, 2 Batgirl, 2 Black Adam, 2 Aquaman, 1 Flash, 1 Cyborg, 1 Batman, 1 Catwoman

I've ended buying another 5 on the secondary market (Joker - who I REALLY wanted & hoped to find in the ones I bought, Riddler, Robin, Mera & Wonder Woman), but once they arrive will still be missing Superman & Green Lantern.

I'll attach some quick photos I took the other day to show what they're like

Thanks for the photos and details of your 'hit rate.'
It is good to see more details of the figures, though the quality looks shockingly poor (about right for Kinder surprise though). Are these endorsed by Playmobil or merely lookee-likees? It doesn't look as if the hair is detachable, even.

The packaging is branded Playmobil, making it as astonishing mis-step if the aim was to introduce the brand to people who wouldn't otherwise have come across it (I suppose within mainland Europe this is less of an issue and people may make the 'discount' for it being in a Kinder surprise egg).

As Oliver has already said, yep, they're official Playmobil (I photographed the back to show the logo in the indented section down their spine) + DC & Playmobil is all over the packaging.

I don't think the hair or masks (on the ones with masks) are detachable.

Maybe it's because I'm a big comic book fan & worked in a comic book shop for a big chunk of my 20's, but I think they're really cool & I'm sure other DC fans will be loving them too  :-[   they have so many neat details that I think are new to the Playmobil kids (hair styles) & character specific details that are really fun like the scale detail on Aquaman's torso & fins on the back of his legs & side of his arms, a little raised heart on Harley's neckline, clear lenses on Catwoman's mask.  They could have really dialed it in, but I think they've made some effort with them honestly.

I'm not sure why they have the holes going through their heads - I assume they might be so people can use them as bag accessories/charms!?  ???

It's too bad that the parts are not interchangeable with the ordinary figures.

Do the capes fit well on normal child figures?

Oops, sorry, I missed that!

And that!
I did notice the DC copyright, however.

Sorry my criticism of these figures was so harsh, I should really get some myself before passing judgement. Off to Tesco...

Yeah, they're definitely not interchangeable, today was my first chance to properly compare the 2 - the Kinder DC klickys & a kid.

The KDCs have:
1. smaller heads & necks
2. a bit less mobility in their neck turn (some barely move & are v. stiff, but should)
3. a shallower waist to crotch
4. a wider leg stance
5. the females have a small bust
6. slightly longer arms
7. slightly longer legs

I'll share some quick comparison photos in a bit.

The cloaks do fit on the regular kid klickys, & they're made so they can hang down, or angle as if there's some wind behind them, which is fun!

Be interested to know what you think of them!

I did take another photo of the capes in the down position but it was just over 100kb when i downloaded the 640x640 version, so i'll have to have a faff to reduce the size a bit.

I think there are 3 cape styles (but I don't have Superman yet - I assume his is the same as Supergirl's though)
1. Batman/Batgirl - black with 6 wavy parts at the bottom
2. Superman?/Supergirl - red with straight bottom
3. Black Adam - black with 4 wavy parts at the bottom

Harley / girl klicky, (apologies for the stupidly small photos, i'll try & add all of them to my much neglected Playmobil IG account later).

I got a box of three in Tesco today. I got Supergirl, The Flash and Mera. The quality is better than I expected, though the heads hardly rotate at all and the figures don't really feel like PM. Supergirl falls over when wearing her cape. I don't think it was money wasted (Kinder chocolate is not too bad), but I don't think I want the full set. I hope PM do 'normal' klicky versions of DC characters one day, but it's probably unlikely.

The hole in the head lines up with the groove in the back of each figure, as if they could be mounted on a pencil (though a pencil would be too thick).

...faff...

That's one of mv favorite words! It is apparently British slang!

If the picture is accurate they seem to have missed putting a ring or at least a green dot on Green Lantern's right hand. (Full disclosure: I was a fan of Green Lantern as a tyke.)

I believe the holes in the head are to avoid a choking hazard, after a few high profile choking deaths related to Kinder Toys I think they are very careful in this area.

I refuse to consider them klickies, but they look like cute novelty items. They're pretty good for Kinder toys.

Yeah, some of the heads on mine definitey rotate as they should, but some barely moved, & i'm not sure why some were ok & some were so stiff.  & Weird that Supergirl wasn't very stable, all mine with capes stood very well with the cape in both positions.  It'd be great if they did do proper adult sized DC Klickys I'm glad you didn't see them as a waste at least!

We have the best slang! bobbins & faff are some favourites of mine.

If the picture is accurate they seem to have missed putting a ring or at least a green dot on Green Lantern's right hand. (Full disclosure: I was a fan of Green Lantern as a tyke.)

I still haven't seen Green Lantern! Green Lantern & Superman seem very thin on the ground, at least here in the UK.

I refuse to consider them klickies, but they look like cute novelty items. They're pretty good for Kinder toys.

I get that, they're significantly different to the Klickys we know & love, but they feel less different to me than some of the newer Klicky variants.

I just got my other 5 (Robin, Joker, Riddler, Wonder Woman & Mera) & I especially love Joker & Mera.  I think some of the things they've done with the Kinder figures (like the scale texture on Mera & Aquaman's clothing & some of the new hairstyles could be interesting to see applied to future adult Klickys.

Still hoping I can find Superman & Green Lantern as I'd like to have the full set.

I can consider myself lucky because so far I've bought just one Kinder egg and don't need to buy any more, because the one I bought contained the one figure I was after: the giant Superman! It was one of the large eggs, where the selection of figures is just four, so a 25% chance to get what you want. Still, not a bad score. <:>

As seen in my picture, the figure is large (9.5 cm high) and appears even larger on the pedestal provided. It can sit and hold normal Playmobil items in its hands. There is no internal frame but legs and body snap together as shown in the leaflet. The hair is fixed, the cape too wide for normal figures.

A normal Playmobil figure would have fitted in the large egg.

A nice oddity for my collection. :)9

So, klickyklack, did you find your Superman, big or small? Let us know!

Best wishes :hatoff:
StJohn

Well, that is interesting! The hands actually look quite small on the slightly larger figure.

For me, the big Superman is the most common one..

I am now trying to complete a couple more sets for playmofriends...

If anyone needs any, let me know, I will try. Keep in mind shipping costs :(

I wonder who was the inspiration for that?

Why not go for full DC theme sets?
I would love a Playmobil Batmobil with Batman and Robin. How about a Hall of Justice? A Batcave?
Superman's fortress of Solitude?
